Happy Valentine's Day!
Current Topics: 3rd Period class will continue to work on Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives. We will also continue to work on Main Idea and details.
6th Period class will continue to work on Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives. We are currently using the Be A Better Reader Series-the focus this week will be Main Idea and details. We will also be working on short vowel sounds. I am sending home a letter today requesting that your child purchase the book: The Hunger Games-we will start reading next week. If there is an issue in getting this book email me and we will work something out.
Study skills: While many of my student's take full advantage of the Study Skills class time for reviewing, tutoring etc. some of my student's often come to class with nothing to work on stating that they did it at home or they left it at home. Just wanted you to be aware that for those student's I will be asking them to complete the work again because in looking at their grades they have failing grades due to missing assignments or not be prepared for tests and quizzes.
