Wednesday

Spanish I:

Today the students received their grades for their Menu Projects and the grade that they will be going into the final exam with. For the rest of class, we played review games to get the students ready for the final exam. We will continue to play review games for the rest of the week. Announcements: Review all study guides, notes, and vocab handouts for the final exam.

Spanish II:

Today the students finished working on their 'Muchos Detalles' presentation. For the rest of class, the students worked on the Chapter 2 Study Guide. We will go over the answers to the study guide tomorrow. Announcements: Review all study guides, notes, and vocab handouts for the final exam.

Tuesday

Spanish I:

Today the students turned in their Menu Projects. I gave out the final exam handout which includes all of the information that the students need to know for the final exam. The students gathered all of their vocab sheets, notes, and study guides as a study packet for the Final. For the rest of the week we will be playing review games in order to review all of the information that will be on the final.

Spanish II:

Today we went over the Preterit Quiz from yesterday. After going over the quiz, the students received a vocab handout about clothing. I went over the requirements for the 'Muchos Detalles' Presentation and the students worked on the presentation for the rest of class. Download Muchos Detalles. The students will also have the first 15 minutes of class tomorrow to work on and finish their presentation. Announcements: The 'Muchos Detalles' Presentation will be due tomorrow, 12-14-11.

Monday

Spanish I:

Today the students completed the Chapter 3 study guide and we went over the answers at the end of class. Announcements: The Menu project will be due tomorrow, 12-13-11.

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students completed a transparency review for practice. After the warm-up, we played a review game and the students took the preterit quiz. Announcements: The 'Muchos Detalles' Presentation will be due on Wednesday, 12-14-11. (Students will work on their presentations in class tomorrow, 12-13-11).

 

Friday

Spanish I:

Today we went over the Chapter 3B Quiz from yesterday. After going over the quiz, I gave out the Menu Project handout and went over the requirements for the project and the rubric. Download Menu Presentation. The students worked on the Menu Project for the rest of class. Announcements: The Menu project will be due on Tuesday, 12-13-11.

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students wrote complete sentences using the preterit tense. For the rest of class, the students worked on an interview activity with partners. Announcements: The preterit quiz will be on Monday, 12-12-11, and the 'Muchos Detalles' Presentation will be due on Wednesday, 12-14-11. (Students will work on their presentations in class on Tuesday, 12-13-11).

Thursday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed a review transparency. After the warm-up, we played a review game and the students took Quiz 3B. Announcements: The Menu project will be due on Tuesday, 12-13-11 (Students will work on their Menu Projects in class tomorrow, 12-9-11).

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students completed their 2B vocab sheet. After the warm-up, we went over the answers to the preterit review packet from yesterday and then we went over the pronunciation of the 2B vocab words. For the rest of class, the students worked on a writing activity using the preterit tense in order to talk about what they did during the Thanksgiving break. Homework: Finish the Thanksgiving paragraph. Announcements: The preterit quiz will be on Monday, 12-12-11, and the 'Muchos Detalles' Presentation will be due on Wednesday, 12-14-11. (Students will work on their presentations in class on Tuesday, 12-13-11).

Wednesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: The students completed an activity using plurals. After the warm-up, we went over the answers to the activity handout from yesterday. We also went over the conjugations of the verb 'ser' and the students completed a fill in the blank activity using the correct forms of the verb. For the rest of class, the students worked on a handout in which they had to write sentences using vocab 3B, the verb 'ser', and adjective agreement. Announcements: Quiz 3B will be tomorrow, 12-8-11 and the Menu project will be due on Tuesday, 12-13-11 (Students will work on their Menu Projects in class on Friday, 12-9-11).

Spanish II:

Today the students worked on a Preterit Review Packet. We will go over the answers to the packet tomorrow. Announcements: The preterit quiz will be on Monday, 12-12-11, and the 'Muchos Detalles' Presentation will be due on Wednesday, 12-14-11.

Tuesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed a reading comprehension activity using the vocab and grammar points from 3B. After the warm-up, the students worked on a 3B activity handout in order to practice the vocab and grammar from this chapter. Homework: Finish the pink activity handout. Announcements: Quiz 3B will be on Thursday, 12-8-11 and the Menu project will be due on Tuesday, 12-13-11 (Students will work on their Menu Projects in class on Friday, 12-9-11).

Spanish II:

Warm-up: The students completed a fill in the blank conjugation activity using the preterit tense. For the rest of class the students completed an interview activity in which each student was assigned to a specific question using the preterit and they had to ask each classmate their assigned question. When finished, they had to graph the results and write complete sentences. Announcements: The preterit quiz will be on Monday, 12-12-11, and the 'Muchos Detalles' Presentation will be due on Wednesday, 12-14-11.
