Wednesday

Spanish I:

Today the students worked on a 3A Review Packet/Study guide for the quiz tomorrow. Once the students were finished, we went over the answers to the packet and we went over the answers to the homework handout. These handouts along with the grammar packet, the review packet, and the vocab handout will be great study tools for tomorrow's 3A quiz. Announcements: Quiz 3A will be tomorrow, 12-1-11 (Students need to study vocab 3A, -er and -ir verb conjugations, and the verbs 'gustar' and 'encantar').

Spanish II:

Today the students worked on the Reflexives project with their group members. Announcements: The reflexives project is due tomorrow, 12-1-11.

 

Tuesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students translated sentences using vocab 3A and the -er and -ir verb conjugations. After the warm-up, students completed an interview activity and they wrote sentences and graphed their answers. For the rest of class, the students worked on a 3A vocab and grammar activity handout. Homework: Finish the 3A activity handout. Announcements: Quiz 3A will be on Thursday, 12-1-11 (Students need to study vocab 3A, -er and -ir verb conjugations, and the verbs 'gustar' and 'encantar').

Today the students worked on the Reflexives project with their group members. Announcements: The reflexives project is due on Thursday, 12-1-11 (Students will continue to work with their group members in class tomorrow, 11-30-11).  

Monday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed an activity in their work book in order to practice vocab 3A. For the rest of class, the students worked on a 3A packet in which they took notes and completed activities in order to reinforce the grammar points from Chapter 3A. I went over the grammar points with a power point. Download Chapter 3A Spanish I. Announcements: Quiz 3A will be on Thursday, 12-1-11.

Spanish II:

Today the students worked on the Reflexives project with their group members. Announcements: The reflexives project is due on Thursday, 12-1-11 (Students will continue to work with their group members in class tomorrow, 11-29-11, and Wednesday, 11-30-11).  

Friday

Spanish I:

Today the students finished watching 'Stand and Deliver'. Announcements: Quiz 3A will be on Thursday, 12-1-11.

Spanish II:

Spanish I:

Today we watched 'Stand and Deliver'. We will continue watching the movie tomorrow. Announcements: Quiz 3A will be on Thursday, 12-1-11.

Spanish II:

Wednesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed a handout in which they had to write out food items for breakfast and lunch. After the warm-up, we went over vocab 3A and the students completed a reading activity. We went over the reading for comprehension and for the rest of class, the students completed an activity handout about their favorite breakfast and lunch items. Homework: Finish "Mi comida favorita' handout. Announcements: Quiz 3A will be on Thursday, 12-1-11.

Spanish II:

Today we went over the handouts that the students finished for homework. After going over the handouts, I went over the reflexives project handout and the students worked with their group members for the rest of class. Download Reflexives Project. Monday

Spanish I:

Today we went over the Chapter 2 test from Friday. After going over the test, the students presented their 2B Presentations. We will continue with presentations tomorrow.

Spanish II:

Today we went over the reflexives quiz from Friday. For the rest of class, I showed a power point reviewing the verbs 'ser' and 'estar'. Download Spanish II ser v estar. The students took notes over the power point and they also completed a review activity.  

Friday

Spanish I:

Today students took the Chapter 2 Test. Announcements: The 2B presentation will be due on Monday, 11-14-11.

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students completed a review transparency. After the warm-up, we played a review game and the students took their reflexives quiz.

Thursday

Spanish I:

Today the students worked on their Chapter 2 Study Guide and we went over the answers at the end of the period. Announcements: The Chapter 2 test will be tomorrow, 11-11-11 and the 2B presentation will be due on Monday, 11-14-11.

Spanish II:

Today the students finished their comic strips and turned them in. For the rest of class, the students played a review game with partners in order to review for the reflexives quiz. Announcements: The Reflexives quiz will be tomorrow, 11-11-11.

Wednesday

Spanish I:

Today we went over the quiz 2B that the students took on Monday. After going over the quiz, the students worked on Presentation 2B for the rest of class. Download Presentation 2B. Announcements: The Chapter 2 test will be on Friday 11-11-11 (Students will work on study guides tomorrow, 11-10-11), and the 2B presentation will be due on Monday, 11-14-11.

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students translated sentences in order to practice the correct use of the reflexive verbs and vocab 2A. For the rest of class, the students worked with partners on a comic strip activity in which they had to create a story using vocab 2A and the reflexive verbs. They had to put the pictures in chronological order and write at least 2 sentences for each picture in order to complete their story. Announcements: The Reflexives quiz will be on Friday, 11-11-11.
