Monday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed their Chapter 2B vocab list. After the warm-up, we went over the new vocab. The students completed a listening activity with the new words and they also completed a reading activity and we discussed the reading. Announcements: Quiz 2B will on Monday, 11-7-11, the Chapter 2 test will be on Friday 11-11-11 (Students will work on study guides on Thursday, 11-10-11), and the 2B presentation will be on Monday, 11-14-11 (Students will work on presentations in class on Wednesday, 11-9-11).

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students completed their Chapter 2A vocab list. We went over the Chapter 1 test from Friday and for the rest of class, we went over the new vocab. Announcements: The Reflexives quiz will be on Friday, 11-11-11.

Friday

Spanish I:

Today the students presented their Chapter 2A presentations.

Spanish II:

Today the students took their Chapter 1 Test.

Thursday

Spanish I:

Today we went over the quiz from yesterday and the students worked on their Chapter 2A Presentations for the rest of class. Download Presentation 2A Announcements: Presentation 2A will be due tomorrow, 10-28-11.

Spanish II:

Today the students worked on their Chapter 1 Study Guides and we went over the answers at the end of class. Download Study Guide Announcements: The Chapter 1 test will be tomorrow, 10-28-11. 

Wednesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed some activities for review. After the warm-up, we played a review game and the students took their Chapter 2A quiz. Announcements: Presentation 2A will be due on Friday, 10-28-11. (Students will work on their presentations in class tomorrow, 10-27-11).

Spanish II:

Today we finished the dialogue presentations. After the presentations, the students reviewed all of the Chapter 1 vocab and we played a review game for the rest of class in order to review for Friday's test. Announcements: The Chapter 1 test will be on Friday, 10-28-11. (Students will work on study guides in class tomorrow, 10-27-11).

Tuesday

Spanish I:

Today the students worked on a 2A Review Handout. After the students finished completing the review handout, we went over the answers (this will be a great study tool for the quiz tomorrow). For the rest of class, we went over the 2A packet that the students completed yesterday with the sub. Announcements: Quiz 2A will be tomorrow, 10-26-11 and Presentation 2A will be due on Friday, 10-28-11. (Students will work on their presentations in class on Thursday, 10-27-11).

Spanish II:

Today the students presented their saber/conocer dialogues. Students worked on their dialogues yesterday with the sub. We will finish presentations tomorrow. Announcements: The Chapter 1 test will be on Friday, 10-28-11. (Students will work on study guides in class on Thursday, 10-27-11).

Friday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed an activity from their work book in order to practice using their subject pronouns. For the rest of class, the students took notes on conjugating -ar present tense verbs and they also completed some activities for practice. Download Present tense of regular / Download Ar verbs. Announcements: Quiz 2A will be on Wednesday, 10-26-11 and Presentation 2A will be due on Friday, 10-28-11. (Students will work on their presentations in class on Thursday, 10-27-11).

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students completed a fill in the blank activity using the correct conjugations of conocer and saber. For the rest of class, we played musical cards in order to review conocer and saber. Announcements: The Conocer/Saber dialogue will be due on Tuesday, 10-25-11(students will work on these dialogues in class on Monday, 10-24-11) and the Chapter test will be on Friday, 10-28-11.  

Thursday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed an activity from the work book in which they had to describe their classes using the adjectives from Chapter 2A. For the rest of class, the students took notes on subject pronouns using a notes handout that I provided for them. Download Subject pronouns / Download Subject Pronouns 2. They also completed a few activities for practice. Announcements: Quiz 2A will be on Wednesday, 10-26-11 and Presentation 2A will be due on Friday, 10-28-11. (Students will work on their presentations in class on Thursday, 10-27-11).

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students translated sentences using vocab 1B and the verbs conocer and saber. For the rest of class, they worked on a conocer/saber activity handout in order to practice using the correct conjugations of these verbs. Announcements: The Conocer/Saber dialogue will be due on Tuesday, 10-25-11(students will work on these dialogues in class on Monday, 10-24-11) and the Chapter test will be on Friday, 10-28-11.  

Wednesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed a 2A cross-word puzzle in order to practice their vocab. After the warm-up, the students completed an interview activity in which they had to interview 14 different classmates using questions that relate to vocab 2A. Announcements: Quiz 2A will be on Wednesday, 10-26-11 and Presentation 2A will be due on Friday, 10-28-11.

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students completed a fill in the blank activity using the correct conjugations of the verbs 'conocer' and 'saber'. For the rest of class, they worked on a conocer/saber packet. This packet will count as a quiz grade. Homework: Finish the conocer/saber packet. Announcements: The Conocer/Saber dialogue will be due on Tuesday, 10-25-11 and the Chapter test will be on Friday, 10-28-11.  

Tuesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed an activity from their work book in order to practice the new vocab. After going over the answers to the warm-up, the students worked on an activity handout in which they had to write their schedule in Spanish including the class periods, materials used, and complete sentences about liking/disliking their classes. Announcements: Quiz 2A will be on Wednesday, 10-26-11 and Presentation 2A will be due on Friday, 10-28-11.

Spanish II:

Today we went over the quiz from yesterday. For the rest of class, we discussed the verbs 'conocer' and 'saber'. The students received a handout in which they used to take notes and complete activities using these verbs.
