Monday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students translated sentences using their family vocab. After the warm-up, the students created their own family trees and wrote sentences to show the relationship between the family members. Homework: Finish your family tree and sentences. Announcements: Quiz 5A will be on Wednesday, 3-9-11.

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students translated some commands using their notes and vocab. After the warm-up, students started working on their 'No sé como llegar' projects.Download No sé como llegar Students will continue working on their projects in class tomorrow.  Announcements: The project will be due tomorrow, 3-1-11, at the end of class. The Chapter 4 test will be on Friday, 3-4-11. (Students will receive study guides on Thursday, 3-3-11).

Friday

Spanish I:

Today we went over the homework handout from yesterday. After going over the handout, the students watched an animated movie in Spanish.

Spanish II:

Today we finished the dialogue presentations. After the presentations, the students watched an animated movie in Spanish. Announcements: Students will work on a presentation the Monday we come back from the break. The presentation will be due on Tuesday, 3-1-11. The Chapter 4 test will be on Friday, 3-4-11. (Students will receive study guides on Thursday, 3-3-11).

Thursday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: the students labeled a family tree handout to show the relationship between family members. After the warm-up, the students received a red family tree labeled with names and the students answered questions about the family tree. For the rest of class, the students worked on an activity handout in which they had to complete a crossword puzzle and a fill in the blank. Homework: Finish the activity handout.

Spanish II:

Today the students finished working on their 3B dialogues with their partners and they started presenting them. We will finish presentations tomorrow.  

Wednesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Students completed vocab 5A. After the warm-up, we went over the test from yesterday. After going over the test, we went over the new vocab for pronunciation and the students completed a reading activity using the new vocab.

Spanish II:

Today we went over both packets from yesterday. After going over the packets, the students worked with partners for the rest of class on a dialogue. Announcements: Students will have some time to work on the dialogues at the beginning of class tomorrow and then they will present their dialogues.

Tuesday

Spanish I:

Today the students took their Chapter 4 test.

Spanish II:

Today we went over the quiz from yesterday. After going over the quiz, the students received two packets with notes and activities on Direct Object Pronouns and Commands. I went through the notes and examples with the students and together we completed part of each packet. Homework: Finish both packets.

Monday

Spanish I:

Today the students completed their Chapter 4 Study Guides and we went over the answers at the end of the period. Announcements:Chapter 4 test will be tomorrow, 2-15-11.

Spanish II:

Today we went over the vocab packet from Friday. After going over the packet, the students reviewed for their quiz with their flashcards and took their quiz.

Friday

Spanish I:

Today we finished presentations. For the rest of class we played a review game in order to review for the upcoming test. Announcements: Chapter 4 test will be on Tuesday, 2-15-11. (Students will complete study guides on Monday, 2-14-11).

Spanish II:

Today we went over the homework handout from yesterday. For the rest of class the students worked on a vocab packet. Homework: Finish the vocab packet.  Announcements: Vocab quiz 3B will be on Monday, 2-14-11.

Thursday

Spanish I:

Today the students presented their 4B Presentations. Announcements: Chapter 4 test will be on Tuesday, 2-15-11. (Students will complete study guides on Monday, 2-14-11).

Spanish II:

Warm-up: The students completed p.65 in their work books. After the warm-up, the students worked on an activity sheet in which they had to do translations and complete a cross-word puzzle. Homework: Finish your green activity sheet. Announcements: Vocab quiz 3B will be on Monday, 2-14-11.

Wednesday

Spanish I:

Today we went over the quiz from yesterday and after going over the quiz, the students worked on their presentations for the rest of class. Announcements: Presentation 4B will be due tomorrow, 2-10-11 Download Presentation 4B, and chapter 4 test will be on Tuesday, 2-15-11. (Students will complete study guides on Monday, 2-14-11).

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students completed p.64 in their workbooks in order to practice their vocab. After the warm-up, 4th period made flashcards with all of their vocab words. Homework: Finish your flash cards. Students in 5th period played a puzzle game in order to review the vocab. Announcements: Vocab quiz 3B will be on Monday, 2-14-11.

Tuesday

Spanish I:

Warm-up: Review transparency for quiz. After the warm-up, the students played a review game and took their quiz. Announcements: Presentation 4B will be due on Thursday, 2-10-11 Download Presentation 4B, (Students will work on presentations in class on Wednesday, 2-9-11), and chapter 4 test will be on Tuesday, 2-15-11. (Students will complete study guides on Monday, 2-14-11).

Spanish II:

Warm-up: Students completed an activity from their work book in order to practice the new vocab. After the warm-up, the students completed an activity handout with a map and extra vocab. Homework: Complete the yellow map sheet. Announcements: Vocab quiz 3B will be on Monday, 2-14-11.
