The purpose of drill is to move units from one place to another in a standard, orderly manner; provide simple formations from which combat formations amy be readily assumed; teach discipline by instilling habits of precision and automatic response to orders; Increase the confidence of cadets through the exercise of command, by the giving of proper commands, and by the control of drilling troops; and give cadets an opportunity to handle individual weapons.
Monday, 24 October: History, purpose, and definitions of drill.
Tuesday, 25 October: Teacher of the Year activities. Study hall session with substitute teacher.
Wednesday, 26 October: General rules of drill. Instructing individual and group drill.
Thursday, 27 October: Personnel/uniform inspection.
Friday, 28 October: Physical fitness (one mile run + sit-up and push-ups). 1stSgt will go to Kell for this week's PT.
