This week in Acc Math I: November 14th-18th

Monday:  4-minute fraction fluency timed quiz; gave your quizzes back and went over them; review of simplifying, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing radicals from middle school.  Your homework is a long worksheet over review of radicals. Be sure to have this completed as much as you can by class tomorrow.

Tuesday:  4-minute fraction fluency timed quiz; go over worksheet from Monday and review more radicals from middle school:  simplifying, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, rationalizing denominator including multiplying by the conjugate. Your homework is a second review of radicals WS.

Wednesday:  4-minute fraction fluency timed quiz; learn how to solve radical equations; RATIONAL EXPRESSIONS REQUIZ IS TODAY AT 7:30, ANY LUNCH PERIOD, OR 3:30 IN ROOM 301.

Thursday:  4-minute fraction fluency timed quiz; Review for unit test tomorrow

Friday:  RATIONAL AND RADICAL EXPRESSIONS AND EQUATIONS UNIT TEST

Monday:  Simplifying Complex Fractions - WS 1-8 on front and 38-40 on back

Tuesday: NO SCHOOL  :)

Wednesday: Solving Rational Equations

Thursday: QUIZ over the following concepts of rational expressions:  Name excluded values (the value or values that make the rational expression undefined), simplify rational expressions, multiply and divide rational expressions, add and subtraction rational expressions with like and unlike denominators, simplify complex fractions, and solve rational equations.

Friday: Simplify Radical Expressions (Most of this will be a review from middle school.)

Look for a Rational/Radical Unit Test on THURSDAY of NEXT WEEK!

Monday: Simplifying Rational Expressions HW p. 163 (1-20 all)

Tuesday: Multiplying and Dividing Rational Expressions HW p. 167 (1-19 all)

Wednesday: Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions HW p. 173 (1-6, 7-9 ignore instructions in the book and instead ADD and SUBTRACT each pair of expressions, 13-16)

Thursday: Benchmark Test

Friday: More Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions  HW: Worksheet
