 QUIZ   tomorrow on: 1. The material on the matrix quiz from last week   2. Finding the determinant of a 2x2 and 3x3 by hand   3. Finding the inverse of a 2x2 by hand   4. Finding the area of a triangle using the determinant.

 

HW (due Thursday)- p. 51 #13  Set up using Cramer's rule and solve with calculator

                              p. 57 #9, 11  13-15, 17 ( on the last 4, set up the matrix equation and solve with 

                                                                      graphing calculator)

 

 

Monday Aug 29

MATH III-HW

 1st period- p. 51 # 6 and p. 52 # 5-do by expansion. Also p. 51 #10-12

2nd and 3rd periods- p. 51 # 6 and p. 52 #5,6 -do by expansion

PLEASE ADD THESE TO THE 5 PROBLEMS YOU HAD FOR HOMEWORK ON FRIDAY!

QUIZ TOMORROW ON DIMENSIONS, SOLVING FOR VARIABLES IN A MATRIX, ADDING AND SUBTRACTING MATRICES, MULTIPLYING BY A SCALAR , AND MULTIPLYING MATRICES TOGETHER.

HW Book p. 42 # 3,5,11,12   p. 46 # 1,2,5,6   p. 47 # 11,12 These should be good review for the quiz. You may do them on the same paper as the ones from last night (p. 51 #1-3 and p. 57 #1-3)

WED AUG 24

MATH III  Hw is to finish Walk Like a Mathematician Task #1-6. READ IT CAREFULLY and focus on terms and methods.  Also do Book p. 51 #1-3 (Show work) and p. 57 #1-3( show work)

QUIZ FRIDAY!!! Know :dimensions, solving for variables in equal matrices, addition, subtraction, multiplication
