Monday 01/26

Today we went over our exam from Friday. We then switched gears to begin talking about some of the curves we will encounter over the next several months, beginning with the demand curve. Everyone should have received a packet of information from Dr. Stone labeled pages 12-16 that deals with demand, supply, and equilibrium. The homework for tonight is activity 9, part A from the workbook.

6th period econ.-11/18

We went through chapter 16 in a pretty rapid fashion today. I think it would be a wise idea to read over that chapter in the book for some of the finer points we may not have covered in class today. The guided reading is due on Thursday for chapters 15 & 16 and is optional. The PhotoStory of your economist is due tomorrow at the beginning of class. I need the pink sheet I originally handed out with your name, student number and project file name written on it when it is turned in.

If you need to work on the PhotoStory before school on Wednesday, Mrs. Neighbors said it would be okay if you use room 506 during the FBLA meeting. Also, room 400 will be available if needed.

AP Microeconomics 11/18

Today we discussed the concepts of economic rent and interest. Pages to read concerning these topics are pp. 527-534 of the textbook. Additionally, activity 50 will assist on the concept of economic rent. We will discuss that activity at the beginning of class tomorrow.

Thursday's test will cover materials from chapters 25, 26, and the pages listed above from chapter 27. Be sure to spend a little time looking over the free response questions in the back of the unit in the workbook. Also, see yesterday's post to find the answers for the multiple choice for unit 4.

6th period Economics Monday 11/17

Today we discussed the remainder of the content for chapter 15. The guided reading for chapters 15 & 16 will be optional for those who want to try and help themselves. It is due at the beginning of class on the unit 5 test day which is this Thursday. It must be complete, partial credit could damage your grade. If you choose not to do the guided reading, you will be exempt from those assignments.

The unit 5 study guide was handed out in class today. We can go over any portion that needs to be discussed on Wednesday in class during our review session. This test covers chapters 14-16, you need to begin preparing ASAP.

Please keep in mind that your economist projects are due at the beginning of class on Wednesday. We will discuss, in class Tuesday, the protocol for turning in that assignment. Also, please do not forget to take care of the usatestprep.com assignments. Those are due on Friday by midnight. The section quizzes are graded for accuracy, the 50% test is for completion, GIVE AN HONEST EFFORT. Please don't forget to check both boxes when you start taking any of the quizzes or I will not receive the results.
