Week of September 5, 2011

This week we will read Swimming to Antarctica in the Literature book and discuss nonfiction writing.  We will review Lesson 1 vocabulary and complete Exercise 1-D together.  Friday we will read the selection together and answer the questions (1-E).  There will be a quiz Friday on using the vocabulary words correctly. 

Week of August 29, 2011

We will finish the Holes project on Monday and Tuesday. 

Wednesday-Vocabulary Unit 1 practice; Homework Exercise 1A.  Writing-Using descriptive words to make our paragraphs more exciting to read.

Thursday-Review vocabulary; Exercise 1B for homework.  Writing-using details.

Friday-Vocabulary 1-C; Practice writing sentences with details
