Each day this week you will receive a grade for having your work prepared.
Monday - 11/14- Typed rough draft is due!!!Peer Edit
Friday-11/11 - I will be in my room at 7:45 for extra help. Your homework is due - a draft of all body paragraphs of your paper including paraphrases and direct quotes. Today we will discuss MLA format and the works cited page. Class time for writing. This weekend you must complete your typed rough draft.

Thursday - I will be in my room at 7:45 for extra help. Your homework is due - a draft of at least 2 body paragraphs of your paper. Today we will discuss the literary present, introductions, and conclusions. Class time for writing more body paragraphs and introduction.
Wednesday - today we discussed and checked our "working" thesis and journal articles. If you did not have your article today- you must have it tomorrow- only academic data bases may be used: GALE, JSTOR, or EBSCO. We learned how to use the data bases on Monday in the writing lab.
Next, we talked about how to organize the content of our "body" paragraphs. Students had time to write in class. H.W. - Students must draft at least 2 body paragraphs for homework and have at the start of class tomorrow. A handout was received in class explaining all of this.
Monday - grade for outline; if you were absent on Friday - you have until Wed. to turn in the outline. We went to the writng lab today to explore the academic data bases. Students were asked to enroll in JSTOR from home. ARTICLE IS DUE AT THE START OF CLASS ON WED. YOU CANNOT GO TO THE NEXT STEP OF YOUR PAPER WITHOUT YOUR ARTICLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once you enroll in JSTOR you do not need to go through the Cobb Virtual Library.
Tuesday - Student Holiday
For Wed. 11/09 - As discussed in class, bring your article to class to annotate for a grade. Begin writing body paragraphs.
Thursday. 11/10 - you must have at least 2 body paragraphs to receive credit today. We will discuss introductions and conclusions.
Friday- 11/11 - all body paragraphs must be completed by the start of class today. ENTIRE ROUGH DRAFT DUE ON MONDAY 11/14.
Paper is due Wed. Nov. 16th as well as submission to Turnitin.com
This week the class will work on their Macbeth literary analysis paper. We have brainstormed various themes and motifs by creating an electronic outline.
Monday - Your electronic outline is due at the start of class. See Friday's blog if you were absent, it contains directions on what to do.
Continue working on literary analysis paper. Journal article is due on Wed. 11/09. Try to register for JSTOR from home if you are having trouble at school - directions on Friday's Blog.
Tuesday - teacher workday - find your article- you cannot do your class assignment on Wed. without article.
Wednesday - Annotate journal atricle; discusss writing strategies.
