Today we took notes on chapter 7, section 2: The Economy and Culture of Canada.  Then we completed map 4 (Canada) for turn in. 

For homework you need to finish reading chapter 7 (section 3).  There will be a test on Tuesday the 6th over chapters 5-7.

Today we took an open notes review quiz over the first two sections of chapter 6.  Then we took notes on section 3 (but did not finish).

The vocabulary quiz has been moved to Friday and the terms will be due the same day.  The test is still on Tuesday the 6th over chapter 6.

Today we created a timeline of event in Canadian history from Chapter 7 section 1: History and Government of Canada (pages 155-58) that was turned in at the end of class.  I also collected workbooks to check pages 20-22. After finishing the timeline, we started working on map 4- Canada (on the back of map 3).  We will finish the map tomorrow.

The notes handout should be complete to "Democratic-Republicans Take Control."  We also had time to complete the chart on the back page- Presidents Washington and Adams only. We have started chapter 6: The New Republic.  Today we took notes on 6-1: Government and Party Politics.  We then recevied our vocabulary words and watched a short video introducing President John Adams.

For homework, you need to continue reading chapter 6.  You should read through section 2 to be ready fro tomorrow.  Work on the vocabulary terms, they are due on Thursday.  We are planning for a vocabulary quiz on Thursday as well.  The test over chapter 6 will take place on Tuesday the 6th of October.

Today we divided into groups to present important facts about 6-3: Subregions of the United States.  We used this knowledge to complete workbook page 22.  If you did not finish it in class then you need to because I will collect them tomorrow.

For homework, read chapter 7: Human Geography of Canada.  We will be completing the chapter this week.  Next Tuesday, Oct. 6, will be a unit test over chapters 5-7.

These are recurring themes in US History we will look at throughout the school year.

World Geography

Today we reviewed chapter 6 section 1 on the "History and Geography of the United States" by looking at the notes we created on Monday and reviewing the answers to workbook page 20.  We also reviewed for the states and capitals quiz by looking at the website ilike2learn and taking some tests.  Tomorrow will be tomorrow's states and capitals quiz.
