Math 2 Imaginary Numbers Revealed Task

The entire 8 page task needs to be completed for tomorrow.  It  will be graded as follows:

70% for completion

30% for accuracy from grading a few problems.

Math 2 Support: Interactive Notebook started

We started our interactive notebook yesterday and continued with it today.  You should have something on the first 7 pages as of today.  The first three pages are your Table of Contents.  Page 4 should have your concept map of the standards on page 5.  Quadratics in Different Forms grid should be on page 7.  You should be looking for information that will show your understanding of the grid to put on the facing page (6).  Page 9 is your rules for Complex numbers which we will continue to add to for the next three days.  Make sure you bring it with you to class every day.

Math 2: 1st Quiz

I did not grade the first quiz quite the way I normally would.  The front side I was here to teach you all of so the grade was out of 12 on the front.  The back side was all from when I was out so I counted all of it as bonus of 2 points per problem correct. 

All Classes

For those of you that were not in class yesterday, you missed my story about my fall in my room last Thursday.  Thanks to the help from other Math 2 teachers, all classes were able to keep up with the plans for those days.  The schedule on the calendar will stay the same for now. 

It is nice to be back at school instead of waiting in doctor's offices and pharmacies.

Math 2 support: Interactive Notebook

You will need to get your composition notebook and other supplies ready for next Monday. You will need:

• One composition notebook (100 sheet/200 page) for Interactive Notebook

• Number 2 pencils and colored pencils or markers.

• A ruler or straight edge.
• Scissors
• Glue stick

• Post-it notes or Post-it flags

Calculators

Math 2, either support or regular will need a non-graphing scientific calculator.  I am recommending the Texas Instrument 30XS Multi-view.

Check out the new parent letters for each unit

The County has provided us with parent letters for each unit in the Math 2 curriculum.  Check out the topics, vocabulary, and websites that can help as we progress through each unit.  I have posted the Unit One material in the Math 2 Y forms and Math 2 Support pages to the left of this post.
