MONDAY:  We began chapter 13 Right Triangle Trigonometry by reviewing how to simplify square roots.

GHSGT THIS WEEK!!!!!  SECOND PERIOD WILL NOT MEET UNTIL FRIDAY BUT STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THE BLOG FOR ASSIGNMENTS DAILY!  THE MATERIAL HAS BEEN COVERED IN CLASS!!!!!

MONDAY:  Continue Multiple Angle and Product - Sum Formulas.  We will test over chapter 6 on Tuesday, March 31st and we will have our mid-term on Thursday of the same week.

Homework:  Page 496 # 67, 71, 73, 75, 81-105odd

TUESDAY:  Review all three assignments (question/answer session) from 6.5.  Students should have all three assignments completed upon arrival to class today!  We will test over chapter 6 on Tuesday, March 31st and we will have our mid-term on Thursday of the same week.

THURSDAY: Multiple Angle and Sum-Product Formulas.  We will be conducting GHSGT this week which means my second period will not actually meet at all this week except for Friday.  I have already taught this material to the students.  They need to check the blog for daily assignments and class announcements in order to keep up with what's expected of them daily.  We will test over chapter 6 on Tuesday, March 31st and we will have our mid-term on Thursday of the same week.

AAT March 2 - March 6

Monday:  Continue verifying Identities (Section 6.2).  I did take up 4 assignments so students who were absent will need to turn this in upon their arrival to class.

Verifying Identities:

1.  Work only on one side of the equation the entire time

2.  Look to factor, add fractions, square binomials, or create a monomial by multiplying by the conjugate

3.  Look to use the fundamental identities.  Take a look to see what trig function may be in the final expression, sines and cosines, tangents and secants, cotangents and cosecants

4.  If all fails convert to sines and cosines

5.  Try something.  Even if you go to a dead end. It may lead you to the answer

Tuesday:  Giveback quizzes (all) and tests (2nd period only) and answer questions regarding problems from Pages 467.

Wednesday:  Extra Practice Worksheet on Verifying Identities was partially completed in groups.  I gave back third periods test.

Homework: 

• Complete the odd problems on the worksheet and be prepared to turn in the assignment from page 467 at the beginning of class tomorrow.
• Correct tests.

Thursday:  Begin dicussion of solving trigonometric equations.
