Welcome to AP U.S. Government & Politics. I am looking forward to an interesting and exciting semester. This introductory note is to provide you with information regarding the structure of the course and materials and the available content on the blog.
- The “General Information” link includes, but is not limited to, a complete list of the Georgia Performance Standards, a copy of the Syllabus and Acknowledgement and AP Contract forms and specific steps for registering on MyPoliSciLab.
- The “Calendars” link opens to a list of monthly calendars that contain topics of study, handouts, due dates, school interest information, etc. The calendars are updated frequently.
- “Units” will list, by unit, “Key Terms and Concepts”, handouts, articles of interest, and other downloads pertinent to that unit. It is important to note that the “Key Terms and Concepts” handout for each unit will list the College Board description, Georgia Performance Standards, information sources/materials, essential questions, vocabulary, legislation and court cases.
- Other links are fairly self-explanatory.
AP US Government & Politics Review Sessions are currently scheduled for 04/18, 04/25, 05/02, 05/09 from 3:45-6:45 PM and Saturday, 05/12 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Sessions will be held in Room 810 and "registration" is required prior to each session so materials can be duplicated. Listen for announcements and watch the blog for particulars as we get closer to the exam.
