Hey! Well, I cannot believe this is the very last post for the semester - and while I am truly ready for Christmas/Winter break (as I am sure you are!) I am more than a little sad to think that I may not have you guys next semester! Your classes are some of the best AP classes I've had - each of you has a unique (and lovely and fun!) personality which I think has made for a great semester! If I could have my way, I'd keep my classes exactly the same for next semester! (Sadly,we all know, it doesn't work that way!) Suddenly I have the feeling that some of you are sitting at your computer reading this thinking that I am crazy ... that you're totally looking forward to a fresh perspective (and you're right - they are valuable!). ANYWAY, enough sentiment! On to the LAST week!
Mon (12/19)
** Will you be the recipient of a final grade of 100 for test prep? I don't know, but YOU are in control of it! You know what you need to do in class today!
Wed (12/21)
** Well, I hope your first three exams went swimmingly! And, I hope today's does as well! And, dear old 3rd period this is it... BUT, I may have a thing for you from Brian Doyle... just a last parting shot if you will...
** As to your exam - DO NOT forget to: 1) study vocab, 2) make your outlines, 3) ANSWER THE QUESTION THAT IS ASKED, and 4) WRITE NEATLY! (I have to turn these babies around fast, so keep my geezer eyes in mind!)
Thur (12/22)
** Okay, you've made it to the FINAL day of exams! Have you been the master of your destiny? I'll bet you have! What's that? You're unhappy that 3rd period is getting something you are not - AGAIN? well, never fear! I think I've got it for you, too!)
** Okay you first period kiddos - this will be the last morning you all start out in here - you guys have made me laugh and generally given me a most excellent start to the day - I appreciate it! I couldn't ask for a more mellow, more generous class to begin my day with - I thank you!
** And Second period - you guys have definately given me the most laughs! You have an unusually relaxed demeanor for an AP class which has been a real treat! The unique perspective you guys have... what will I do without it?!
**Now, let's get to the exam - DO NOT forget to: 1) study vocab, 2) make your outlines, 3) ANSWER THE QUESTION THAT IS ASKED, and 4) WRITE NEATLY! (I have to turn these babies around fast, so keep my geezer eyes in mind!)
FINALLY, I'm going to work as fast and as hard as I can to get your grades finalized... I'll post an update for each class as I get the grades finalized in Pinnacle, so you can check here to make sure your grade won't change.
It's my hope that you all have a lovely and restful and fun break - It's my wish that you will read something just because you want to, and you know that reading is fun! - It's my prayer that all of all come back safely in January with renewed motivation and the desire to FINISH STRONG!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah - I love you guys-
=)
