Monday 10/31

Spanish II

After the warm up, students asked 5 questions to their classmates  in Spanish. Students sang the song "Ella es bonita." Then they wrote questions that they will be asked on Wednesday's Speaking assessment. They also wrote the answers to the questions and practiced with classmates. Annoucements: Speaking test on Wednesday. Download Speaking quiz

Spanish III

After the warm up, students practiced pretertie vs. imperfect with this ppt. Download Accidentes Las pizarras . They practiced when to use the imperfect and when to use the preterite. Then, students reviewed the second half of their vocabulary (blue vocab list) to complete a paragraph about an accident. If they did not finish in class, students were to finish for homework.

Thursday

Spanish II

After the warm up, students played "avalancha" to practice verbs for tomorrow's quiz. Then students took a pre quiz.

Spanish III

Students translated mini questions for their warm up. Students took a pratice quiz and then wrote the quesetions to an interview they will conduct tomorrow.

Monday 10/24

Spanish II

Students had 10 mins to practice their presentation. They presented and did a very good job! Then they listened to a song and filled in the blank a lyrics sheet.

Spanish III
After the warm up, students turned in their creat a cariacuture w body parts. Then they finished a sheet from Friday. Students received a neon pink sheet to take notes off a powerpoint.

Thursday 10/20

Spanish III

Students completed a  listening activity. Then they worked on a mini-skit to be presented tomorrow.

Wednesday 10/19

Spanish II

Monday: Warm up #1, verb chart for a grade, speaking activty with cards.

Tuesday: Warm up #2 page 80 activity 8. Went over homework and shared for pesos. Did the back of the homework sheet for extra practice and then started a speaking activity around the classroom.

Wednesday: Warm up #3 page 81 activity 9. Students finished an interview from yesterday. Students practice by doing the actions to the vocabulary words. Then they played Simon Says in Spanish. Students completed a dice activity for a class grade.  

Spanish III

Monday: Warm up was to practice with a partner for the speaking quiz.  You made a wordsearch for another student to complete.

Tuesday: Students watch a movie.

Wednesday: Practiced vocabulary for 5 mins. with a companero. Played Pongo to review body parts, completed the rest of the vocabulary and exchanged the crosswords you made so that another person could solve it.

Friday 10/14

Spanish II

 

Spanish III

Students received a new warm up sheet and completed a first warm up. Then students played matamoscas to review. After, students wrote the vocabulary words on whiteboards to practice. Then students received a bingo board. They drew pictures on their board. Annoucements: Finish for homework as we will play on Monday. SPEAKING QUIZ ON MONDAY! Please review your speaking quiz sheet and have it ready to turn in on Monday.

Wednesday

Spanish II

Students completed a bingo board. Students played several times to reinforce the new vocabulary. Then students played "matamoscas".

Spanish III

3rd period watched a video about Spain. They completed and turned in the video worksheet. Announcments: Speaking quiz on Friday.

Monday10/10 & Tuesday 10/11

Spanish II

On Monday students received a copy of the new vocabulary for unit 2A "getting ready for a special event". For homework, students completed a 1/2 sheet to practice vocabulary.

On Tuesday Students completed a crossword puzzle as a warm up. Then after going over the homework, students were introduced to "reflexive pronouns" and how they can use them to express their daily routines.

Spanish III

On Tuesday, student finished presentations of their talk show skit. Then they began to write their last written summative assessment on this unit. This letter to "Dear Abby" is due on Thursday.

Friday

Span II

Test 1B. If you were absent, please make an appt. to make it up.

Span III

You worked on the script for the skit. The scripts were very good! Please practice them so you can be ready for Monday.

Wednesday

Spanish II

Students presented their dialogues. Then they reviewed for their test on Friday by using whiteboards and a powerpoint.

Spanish III

Students worked in groups of 3 to write sentences and questions using whiteboards. Then they were introduced to their summative assessment that will be presented next Monday the 10th for a test grade.
