Media Center. Students completed activities 2 and 3 on www.conjuguemos.com Remember: attemp 30 words and get 80% or above on both activities. You have until Monday morning to submit these. Please remember to submit them or I will not receive your score. Announcement: vocab quiz on Monday.

Thursday 9/29

Spanish II

After the ppt warm up, students listened to a song and filled in the blank on their lyrics sheet. Students sang the song twice. Then students worked on activities in the book. Students will finish those activities tomorrow.

Spanish III

After the ppt warm up, students played avalancha to review irregular preterite verbs. Then they got with their partner and finished the translation that they started yesterday. Announcement: Vocabulary quiz on ¡Cuéntame!  Monday October 3rd. You must know regular preterite.

Wednesday 09/28

Spanish II

Students played matamoscas to review vocabulary, did 2 listening activities to practice for the quiz, and took the listening quiz. Please make an appoitnment to make it up if you were absent.

Spanish III

After the warm up, students did a reading activity for a reading grade. Then in pairs, students read a converstation and started to translate it. Students will finish translating it tomorrow in class.

Tuesday 9/27

Spanish II

 After the warm up (1/2 sheet of paper) students finished the speaking actvity they started yesterday, and completed activity A and B of a partner speaking activity. Announcements: Listening Quiz tomorrow! You can have a sibling or parent read the warm up to you and you can guess the correct vocabulary word. Study both the 1B vocabulary and the saber vs. conocer notes.

Spanish III

After the warm up, students did a speaking/listening activity talking about what they did last weeek. Then they did a written activity with dice to practice writing sentences using vocabulary and regular and irregular verbs in the preterite tense. If you were absent, get these sheets from the absent crate and turn them in on Thursday.

After the warm up, students did a speaking/listening activity talking about what they did last weeek. Then they did a written activity with dice to practice writing sentences using vocabulary and regular and irregular verbs in the preterite tense.

Spanish III

Students went to the media center to start watching a series of episodes "Mi vida loca". A few students had issues with their headphones and were allowed to take the quiz home. Please bring it on Monday.

Thursday 9/22

Spanish II

Students completed warm up number 1 on a new sheet of paper titled "La primera actividad" Then we practiced vocabulary words with "La lotería" Then we started notes on "saber vs. conocer" and completed the back side for a writing grade. Announcements: Homework was to do page 20 of the sheet of paper that you received. Do not do the crossword for homework.

Spanish III

Students completed a spoken warm up. They reviewed the sections "reacting to news" and "context of your story" with a partner. Then they completed a 1/2 vertical sheet to practice combining verbs in the preterite and vocabulary from "cuentame". Students turned it in for a grade.

Tuesday

Spanish II

 Warm up. Students completed a fill in the blank a song to finish chapter 1A. Started new vocabulary. The title of the unit is "¿Qué haces después de las clases?" We did page 50 activity 4 for a grade.

Spanish III

Warm up, reviewed new "cuentame" vocabulary. Introduced preterite tense and wrote 10 sentences for a grade. Download Cuéntame!. You will find a copy of the vocab and grammar sheet in the absent crate.

Thursday 09/15

Spanish II

You turned in two assignments from the book. See me to get copies so you can complete your work. One was a reading and one was a writing activity.

Announcements: The skit was moved to Monday.

Spanish III

We finished presentations, then we reviewed adjective agreement, did a whiteboard activity to practice adjective agreement, and then translated a long sentence that used adjectives, verbs and vocab words.
