Wednesday 8/31

Spanish II

Warm up #5, reading activity was turned in (see absent crate to get one) and then dice activity to practice writing sentences with the new verbs in our "classroom" vocabulary (green vocab sheet).

Spanish III

No warm up. Practiced vocabulary through a game called "ponga". See the absent crate to obtain a copy. Then you completed a adjective activity and we went over the answers with a ppt.

Yesterday's homework (dice and verbs) was returned to you and unpdated in pinnacle. Your first warm up sheet was returned to you as well.

Tuesday 08/30

Spanish II

Warm up on vocabulary definitions, review of tener with ppt., activity in the book page 22 activity 2 to present for a speaking grade.

Spanish III

Warm up: answer questions using irregular present tense verbs, started new vocabulary sheet (see Spanish III absent crate for a copy). Played avalancha to review irregular verbs.

 

Monday 8/29

Spanish II

After the warm up #3, we started the unit on "describing what happens in class." We reviewed Spanish I vocabulary and learned new vocabulary. Then we practiced the new vocabulary with a whiteboard acitivity.

Spanish III

After the warm up, we practiced conjugating verbs orally around the room. Then we started the stem changing verbs o-ue. Please see the absent crate for Span III to obatin this sheet.

Span II

You presented your project today.

Span III

You took the sports quiz today. HOMEWORK: Finish the 1/2 sheet translation. Turn it in on Monday.

Spanish II

Spanish III

No warm up. We went to the media center to practice sport's vocab for tomorrow's quiz. Do the first two links. One is on sports and the other is on e-ie reflexive verbs. You have until before midnight tomorrow to turn these in.

Wednesday 08/24

Spanish II

After the warm up reviewing nationalities, we filled out the chart on the back on the map. We talked about nationalities and how they change based on gender and number. I introduced your assessment for this unit. You will present a paragraph on Friday about yourself.

These are the directions you received today:

Dibuja una caricatura (cartoon) de ti y descríbete en español. Tienes que tener lo siguiente en tu descripción: Your name (anaranjado), what you like ( azul), 2 forms of SER (verde), 5 CONJUGATED present tense verbs talking about what you and your friends do (rojo), 1 nationality describing yourself (underlined in pink), 4 different  adjectives describing yourself (amarillo). 

You will get the last 10 minutes to work on it in class tomorrow.

Spanish III

After the warm up reviewing the first set of irregular present tense verbs, you practiced sports voab with a partner using the two column vocab sheets. Then you filled out the second section of the sheet for a grade.

Monday 08/22

Spanish II H

After the warm up we sang the song "¿Cómo eres tú? It reviews the verb ser.

Download Como soy yo song  Then we started a sheet on adjectives. See the absent crate to get one.

Today I checked your notebook and a marker. If you didn't have a marker today make sure you have one this week. We will be doing whiteboard activities and you will need your own marker.

Thanks to all of you donating paper, tissues and hand sanitizer. These items are always welcomed!

Spanish III H

The warm up was a challening crossword puzzle. It helped you read spanish and locate the word about sports. One of our focuses this year will be to read better in Spanish. We then practiced vocabulary with a partner using 2 column sheets. Then quickly reviewed the present tense.

Wednesday 08/17

Spanish II

After the warm up, we started talking about classroom expressions you should say in Spanish throughout the year. You turned in the conversation sheet and then you took a pre-quiz on verbs. You self corrected and turned it in. I will look at them tonight to determine how much time we need to review present tense verbs.

Spanish III

After the warm up, we reviewed classroom expressions and then you took a pre-test over the material on Spanish II. You self correted and turned it in. I will take a look at them tonight to determine how much time to review different concepts.

Friday: Turn in your syllabus signature page.

Monday: I will check your notebook and supplies.

Tuesday 08/16

Spanish II

You turned in the parent signature from. The warm up was a picture. You had to write 5 sentences and shared them. Then you interviewed different students and wrote down the answers in third person. We will finish this activity for homework.

Monday: I will check your Spanish notebook/folder/binder and other supplies.

Spanish III

You turned in the parent signature form. The warm up was a 1/2 sheet about the syllabus. Then you interviewed one student and we shared answers for pesos. Then you received a 1/2 green sheet with classroom expressions that will help you speak more Spanish in the classroom.

Monday: I will check your Spanish notebook/folder/binder and other supplies.
