Welcome back!

Spanish II

After the warm up Download Warm up 02_28 present progressive, you asked your compañeros 3 questions about their break. We talked about it as a class. Spanish III

The warm up was writing about your break. Then we found 8 people we are going to work with for the rest of the semester. We used a "companeros de la clase" sheet to write down their names. When we work in pairs, I will call a city and you will work with that person. This will allow you to work with different people throughout the semester. Then you ask a partner about his/her break and wrote it down on the back of your warm up, which I took for a speaking grade. Then we reviewed the conditional and you completed a 1/2 sheet for a writing grade.

Thursday 02/17

Spanish II

You finished the city activity today. In pairs, you described the city and your partner recreated the city. Some classes played ponga with the cards.

Wednesday 02/16

Spanish II

Warm up: writing sentences about a picture using prepositions and vocabulary words including the verb quedar. Then we played ponga with the vocabulary cards that were taken for a grade. You started the activity on drawing your ideal city. Finsih the drawing for homework. We will write the sentences as a warm up tomorrow. You will need your map and your sentences to complete the activity tomorrow.

Homework: Finish drawing your map.

Spanish III

Warm up: translating questions in the conditional. Then you asked a partner the questions and we had a class discussion. You then completed a 1/2 vertical sheet on the conditional and it was taken for a grade. In order to practice for the quiz on Friday, you practiced by writin 10 sentences based on a picture. It was also taken for a grade.

Tuesday 02/15

Spanish II

You completed a wordsearch for the warm up, and then in pairs, you finished the conversation (guided dialogue). You shared these with the class. Then we reviewed vocabulary words with a matamoscas.

Spanish III

Small crossword for homework to review prepositions. Then we reviewed the conditional and continued with the notes. You completed the activities on the notes packet. Then you worked on the dice game.

Monday 02/14

Spanish II

After the crossword puzzle warm up, you received a sheet where you can write down 8 names that will be your partners for the rest of the semester. This will allow you to work with different people. Spanish III

After the warm up on prepositions, you received a sheet with a picture. You had to read sentences and determine if they were true or false. Remember that the unintentional events and faltar (green 1/2 sheet )will also be on the test. Please study the sencond sent of professions you receieved. A few days ago you received a sheet with definitions. Study it please.

Monday & Tuesday (Span III rest of the week)

Spanish II

Monday: You presented your skits. Great job!

Tuesday: we started part B of chapter 3. Please see me to get a new vocab sheet. You also received a double sided practice sheet. You began to work on it in class. It will be checked at the beginning of class. Please finish for homework.

Spanish III

Monday: You worked on your powerpoint presentation and your sentences. Remember you have to memorize your presentation for Wednesday.

Tuesday: You practiced reading your sentences outloud to a partner. Then you received a study guide for the test on Friday. The test will include por vs. para, passive voice, fata expressions, unintentional events and new vocabulary.

Wednesday: Presentations about the city and passive voice. Be prepared!

Thursday: We are reviewing for the test.

Friday: Test!

Spanish II

You have been writing a script for the skit that will be presented on Monday. Don't forget your props!

Spanish III

We learned about passive voice and then you received the project on passive voice. This project is due next Wednesday.

Tuesday 02/01

Spanish II

You worked on this sheet to practiced direct object pronouns Download 3A with community, do pronouns, preterit. Then we went over the speaking activity we did yesterday and that we finished for homework. Then I introduced our project that will sum up what you have learned this semester. This skit counts as a major summative assessment. Refer to your syllabus for grading weights.

Spanish III

We took brief notes on "superlatives" and "por vs. para" We practiced with a 1/3 sheet. Then we listenend to a song as you filled in the blank to the future words. Then you continued to work on your essay. It's due tomorrow.
