FRENCH 3 - Today's in-class activities:

    Text pages 132-133 - activities 1-5. These were completed in class and then we discussed them. If you are/have been absent I strongly recommend that you do these activities and then bring them to me to check. The quiz tomorrow will cover the lesson vocabulary, reading and grammar (bonus). I have attached vocabulary flashcards below.

FRENCH 3 - Today's in-class activities:

• Text page 128, activity 2 - we worked on this in class and talked about the reasoning behind the answers
• Text page 128, activity 3 - this was an oral activity practicing the passé composé and the imparfait
• Listening Comprehension - the final activity on the last page of the packet - discrimination between passé composé and imparfait
• FOR TOMORROW - you need to start reviewing the vocabulary and the reading comprehension selection from this lesson. We will have the "big quiz" - which this semester goes in the Test category - on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

French 3 students - we spent the day in the computer lab working on passé composé and imparfait. YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO CONJUGATE VERBS IN THESE TWO FORMS! If you cannot I urge you to spend some time on Conjuguemos between now and Friday, Feb. 10. We will be in the library on Feb. 3 and Feb. 10 doing skills tests for the passé composé and the imparfait. Feb. 3 will be a completion grade but Feb. 10 will be an accuracy grade.

Dear Parents -

I apologize for not having the syllabus posted to my blog. I tried to upload it this afternoon and am having technical difficulties. I have scheduled for Tech Support to come tomorrow so the syllabus for both French 3 and AP French should be posted by this weekend.

FRENCH 3 - Today's in-class activities -

• Groups finished Nemo summaries and turned in (periods 1 & 4)
• Practice with differentiating between passe compose and imparfait
• 2nd period completed activity 5 from the packet.
• FOR TOMORROW periods 1 and 4 should have completed activity 5 in the packet. Period 2 should have completed activity 6. Also, if you are still struggling with how to conjugate verbs in the passe compose and the imparfait you need to practice on Conjuguemos. I do not have specific activities for these conjugations - just use the ones already in the Conjuguemos library.

AP - MAKE SURE YOU ARE PREPARD TOMORROW! My technical difficulties prevented the cultural presentation from recording - again. This means your grade tomorrow will be even more important!

FRENCH 3 - 1st and 4th Periods - Today's in-class activities:

• Finished reading and discussing the chapter article
• Worked on activity 4 in the worksheet packet
• TOMORROW'S QUIZ IS POSTPONED UNTIL MONDAY!
• FOR TOMORROW finish activity 4. I will be taking a homework grade for this.

FRENCH 3 ACCELERATED - 2nd Period - Today's in-class activities:

• Reviewed information for tomorrow's quiz
• Listening comprehension - activities 2 & 3
• Current event - TV5 report on Jeanne d'Arc
• Practice with verb conjugations
• FOR TOMORROW study for the quiz over the article

AP FRENCH - N'oubliez pas que demain est "vendredi gras". Je ne sais pas encore ce qu'on fera...

• Vocabulary - review and quiz
• Reading - Article from chapter (periods 1 & 4 read next 2 pages; 2nd period finished)
• FOR TOMORROW make sure that you understand very well what you have read and we have discussed. If you feel uncertain about any of the information you need to re-read!
• NEXT QUIZ - Friday - 5 questions about the reading

AP FRENCH - Aujourd'hui nous avons discuté la lecture de hier soir. Si vous avez été absent il faut que vous m'envoyiez votre courriel. POUR DEMAIN je vous en prie de lire les pages 361-362. N'oubliez pas que nous irons dans le labo demain. :)

• Review of vocabulary
• Review of present, passé composé and imparfait
• Read chapter article (periods 1 & 4 read first page; period 2 read all pages)
• FOR TOMORROW study the chapter vocabulary for tomorrow's quiz

AP FRENCH - Pour demain:

• Imaginez que vous travaillez pour Kodak et que vous êtes responsable pour le marketing. Ecrivez un courriel au président dans lequel vous proposez deux stratégies pour augmenter le vente des pellicules et/ou des appareils. Demandez une question aussi.
• Download Hand--out-2-resources-for-email-answer-1 - Pour vous aider je vous donne des informations pour comment écrire un bon courriel.
• Finalement, il faut lire le commencement de chapitre 26 dans Allons au-delà. Malheureusement, je ne peux pas imprimer les pages de ce texte; donc il faut le lire à l'ordinateur. J'ai demandé à Cobb County de recevoir des textes "dur" mais jusqu'à leur arrivé il faut continuer à l'ordi.
• Lisez les pages 354-358. Si vous ne pouvez pas discutez pas oralement je vous donnerai une interro surprise.

• Shared last night's homework with a partner (10 personalized uses of vocab)
• Pratique orale - pronunciation
• Paired oral activity - Text pg. 121 (2)
• Individual practice - Text pg. 121 (3)
• 2nd period only: Listening activity (in packet, pg. A11, activity 2)
• FOR TOMORROW: Packet pg. 33-34 (1, 2) - For activity 1 write complete sentences. (Ex. Il fait...) For activity 2 you are to respond personally - so your sentences will start with "Je..." (except for #2 which will start "Mes parents...").

AP FRENCH - Nous avons discuté l'histoire et le vocabulaire de l'histoire. Nous avons aussi décidé comment diriger le semestre. Alors, pour demain nous rechercherons un peu La Tour de France et regarderons quelquechose intéressant et amusant.

FRENCH 3 - Today's in-class activities:

• Graphic organizer with the vocabulary terms from Chapter 3, Leçon 1. The graphic organizer should include the French definitions from page 120 and a small illustration for each term.
• FOR TOMORROW: Choose 10 of the vocabulary terms and write a personalized example. EX: Je suis une adepte de Justin Bieber.

AP FRENCH - Today in class:

• Log in to Allons au-delà.
• Read pages 96-101. You need to make sure you understand what you read well enough to have a meaningful discussion tomorrow.
• Look at the questions on page 102. Be able to discuss them tomorrow. If you are unable to have a meaningful discussion from these questions I will make you write out the answers and turn them in.
