This week students will be learning about Imperialism in Asia. The focus will be on India, Southeast Asia, and China. Students will work on a webquest that deals with the Open-Door Policy in China. Students will write speeches as British Merchants or Chinese Nationalist and try to convince the Empress to either allow foreign merchants in China or not allow foreign merchants in China.
SSWH15 The student will be able to describe the impact of industrialization, the rise of nationalism, and the major characteristics of worldwide imperialism.
