Ceramics students are continuing their coil pot in Ceramics A and the stamp pot in advanced ceramics. I have a few experienced wheel girls who are including the wheel in their current project.
Advanced students will be introduced to a new project today also to plan out and begin. It is quite easy to work on two alternating projects when handbuilding. There are waiting periods to allow the clay to dry and stiffen just a little before progressing to the next step.
The students will be planning a mixed media project which can include rope, wire, glass, etc.
I will be absent from school Tuesday and Wednesday with my daughter having surgery but am leaving my students in capable hands of a very knowledgeable substitute while I am gone. Work will continue as usual.
