Photography

Photography students are finalizing their final project ideas and will be shooting digital assignments in class.

Ceramics

Ceramics students are awaiting their final projects to be fired. As they are waiting, we will be finishing off their boxes and glazing any previous projects that were put on hold. Our Ceramics A boxes will have a dry brush technique used with india ink and acrylic paint.

 

Comprehensive Art

Due to my absence yesterday, my blog is a day late....Comprehensive Art has completed their paintings and are currently on display in the hallway by the art rooms. We are now on a cartoon project. Students are designing their own cartoon character and story.

Photography

Photography A students are continuing their word illustration and scanner art projects.

Photo C has two projects due this Friday. Photojournalism and types of photography will be presented in class.

AP Photo is working on concentration ideas and will hopefully finalize their idea this week.

 

Ceramics

All Ceramics students will need to complete their final projects by this Friday, November 18th to allow ample drying time over the Thanksgiving break.

 

Comprehensive Art

Students will be completing their painting project this week. The students will enhance the value and detail in the painting by making it a mixed media project and combining colored pencil with it.

Photography

Photography A has the abandoned toy digital assignment due today. On Friday, students were introduced to scanner art and a word illustration project. Students have been assigned a day on a scanner to complete the project.

Photo C has two projects due soon: types of photography and photojournalism.

AP Photography is to completely finish their breadth section this week. We will also begin discussing concentration ideas.

 

Ceramics

Ceramics A students are letting their boxes dry out very slowly and are planning their final projects. Due to the projects having to be fired two times before the end of the semester, we have to complete the projects and allow ample drying time. With this in mind, the projects will have to be completed before our Thanksgiving break or the students will take clay home to complete the project. We discussed ideas at the end of last week and students will begin either today or Wednesday.

Advanced Ceramics students are beginning their final projects also.

Comprehensive Art

 

Students are continuing their painting project. It takes several coats of tempera paint for good coverage. The students are now concentrating on value and blending the paint. Every object in the painting is to show value.
