Comprehensive Art

It is looking like we are going to let this project continue up until the day of the final exam. The students are doing an outstanding job so I am not wanting them to rush and get sloppy at the very end. Parents, please remember to ask your child to see their projects as they are turning out extremely nice.

 

Photography

Photography students are busy working on their final projects. All students should have their photos shot by now and printed out.

 

Ceramics

The kilns are being fired on average 4 times per week. We should be finished firing by Wednesday. Many students will begin applying their glass/mosaic on their pots today. Seniors will have to be very aware of their deadlines since senior exams begin this week.

 

Comprehensive Art

Students are continuing the paper project. The projects are coming alive. The students are going great work. Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks for examples.

We took one day off to have a class critique led by Mr. Revill on the Value/Form projects. The students had to state one positive aspect on each piece and also one area which could be improved. The critique went very well.

Photography

Photography students should have all photos shot for their final project and in the process of printing them out. In class, the students will devote this week to layout designs for each page.

Ceramics

All Ceramics projects will be fired this week for the bisque firing. Students will then need to promptly glaze their pieces to be fired again. With three classes of Ceramics, this will take many firings which will put us close to the final exam day.

Students will be cleaning out storage areas and assigned areas of the room this week as well as completing any other glazed pieces.
