Week of October 24th -28th

Math 4 -

Monday, October 24th - Since I was out for the last two days, today served as a catch up day. Students had an opportunity to get questions they encountered from Wednesday - Friday's assignments answered. Students  also took the 4th unit circle timed quiz over the six trig functions in radians.

Tuesday, October 25th - Students will prepare for the second Trig Test occurring on Thursday, October 27th!!! Review Packet. Students will take the 5th unit circle timed quiz over a potpourri of all six trig functions in radians and degrees

Wednesday, October 26th - Students will continue to review. Students will take the 6th and last of the unit circle timed quizzes over a potpourri of all six trig functions in radians and degrees. Here are the odd answers to the review packet

Week of October 17th - 21st

Math 4 -

Monday October 17th - Students will learn how to convert angle measures to decimal degree form and  Degrees, Minutes, Seconds DMS. Students will also learn how to calculate Arc Length. Students took the first of the timed unit circle quizzes over sine , cosine, and tangents of the unit circle angles in degrees.The assignment is a worksheet of problems 17 – 24 (all of the a problems), 55 – 61 odd,  76 – 86 even.

Tuesday, October 18th - Students learned how to calculate linear and angular speed. The assignment was the 1st three problems on the worksheet. Students also took the second unit circle timed quiz over all six trig functions in degrees.

Wednesday, October 19th - Students continued to work with problems that are involved with calculating linear and angular speed. Periods 2, 3, and 6 took the third unit circle quiz over sine, cosine, and tangent of unit circle angles in radians. 7th period will take theirs on Monday.

Thursday, October 20th - Students worked word problems involved with right triangle trig problems and bearing problems. The assignment is the first 7 problems on the work sheet.

Friday, October 21st - Students completed the word problems from yesterday . The assignment is 8 - 15.

 

Week of October 10th - 14th

Math 4

Monday, October 10th - Students are reviewing the concepts learned thus far in preparation of tomorrow's test on the introduction to trigonometry. Classwork/homework is a worksheet of review problems.Download Trig unit 1 review

Tuesday, October 11th - Students will take the Intro to Trigonometry Test. No additional assignment is given.

Wednesday, October 12th - Students will be introduced to the special unit circle values in degrees. Homework a worksheet of unit circle values in degrees. (additional problems in your book on page 78-79: 15 - 32 all)

Thursday, October 13th - Students will continue to work on the special unit circle values in degrees finding the secant, cosecant and cotangent of the angles in degrees. Homework is to complete the front side of the worksheet.

Friday, October 14th - Students will continue to work on the special unit circle values in radians finding all six trig functions of the angles. The homework is to work the problems on the back side of the worksheet. Students will participate in a mocked unit circle quiz in preparation for the first of six quizzes over the unit circle starting on Monday 17th.

Week of October 3rd - 7th

Math 4 -

Monday, October 3rd   We continued to review for the quiz on Tuesday over Introduction to trig.

Tuesday, October 4th  Students took a quiz over Intro  to trig. The trig included writing an angle in degrees and radians, reference and coterminal angles and sketching the angle.

Wednesday, October 5th Students will learn all six trig functions that are related to an acute angle in a right triangle. The assignment is a worksheet 1, 3, 11 - 18 all.

Thursday, October 6th  Students will extend their knowledge of the six trig functions out of quadrant I to any quadrant. They will see what connection reference angle plays in evaluating the six trig functions of any angle that is withing one full rotation of a circle. The assignment from worksheet is 7, 9, 10, 13 - 18 all, 97 - 101 odd.

Friday, October 7th Students will continue working with the non-quadrantal angles. Our first test over the introduction to trig will be next Tuesday, October 11th. The test will cover all trig topics covered thus far. The assignment is 11, 12, 23 - 29 all, 100, 102 and 51 - 58 all sectiob VIII on the Trig WS- Angles.
