Week of September 26 - 30th

Math 4

Monday, September 26 - Students reviewed right triangle trig learned in Math 2. Students reviewed finding angle measurements and the length of the sides of the right triangle using  SOH CAH TOA. The assignment was a worksheet.

Tuesday, September 27- Students identified the quadrant in which an angle terminates and how to determine positive and negative angle measurement using degrees. The assignment is Angles and Measure worksheet problems 11, 14, 17, 19 - 21, 24, 25, 27.

Wednesday, September 28 - Students discover what is a radian and how to convert from degrees to radians. Homework is to complete the Angles and Angle Measure worksheet.

Thursday, September 29 - Students discover coterminal and reference angles. Assignment is a worksheet.

Friday, September 30 - Students work with more reference angles. The assignment is a Trig WS.

Week of September 19th - 23rd

Math 4

*** Another review session on Thursday of previous concepts . Please come for help before Friday's quiz!!

Monday , September 19th -  Students continued to solve rational equations. The assignment was to complete problems 11 - 20th from the worksheet given on Friday.

Tuesday, September 20th - Students will learn how to solve rational inequalities. The assignment is problems 1 - 9 from the worksheet given.

Wednesday, September 21th - Students will continue to solve rational inequalities. The assignment is to complete the problems from yesterday's worksheet.

Thursday, September 22nd - Students will review adding and subtracting of rational expressions with unlike denominators, multiplying and dividing of rational expressions and solving of rational equations and inequalities. Friday, September 23rd - Students will have a quiz over the concepts reviewed on yesterday. 

Week of September 12th - 16th

Attention All Math 4 Students- The test date has been changed to  Thursday, September 15th. **No graphing calculators will be allowed for this test.

Students Please come in for extra help soon so that you can get all of your questions answered. I will be available afterschool each day this week!!!

Monday, September 12th - Students will continue to practice graphing rational functions finding the domain, y intercept, zeroes,VA, HA, SA, holes, end behavior, intervals of inc. and dec.. The new concept for today is to now write rational functions given specific characteristics. The homework is a worksheet of 18 problems.

Tuesday, September 13th - Students will receive the review for Thursdays test over graphing of rational functions. The assignment is to complete half of the review.

Wednesday, September 14th - Students will continue to complete the review given on Tuesday in preparation for Thursday's test.

Thursday, September 15th - Test on Graphing of Rational Functions

Friday, September 16th - Students will began to solve rational equations. The assignment will be a worksheet of problems. Students should complete the 1st 10 problems for homework.

Week of September 6th - 9th

Math 4-  Attention our first test will be next Tuesday, September 13th!!!!! over Graphing of Rational Functions!!!!!

Tuesday, September 6th - Students turned in the task from Friday after we completed the answers for the last 4 questions as a class.  Then the students learned how to find the vertical asymptotes (VA) and horizontal asymptotes of a rational function. Homework is a worksheet of problems to complete

THERE WILL BE A HELP SESSION AFTER SCHOOL ON THURSDAY FOR STUDENTS NEEDING HELP WITH FACTORING , LONG DIVISION AND OTHER CONCEPTS PREVIOUSLY LEARNED!!!

Wednesday, September 7th - Students will learn how to find the holes and slant asymptotes (SA) of a rational function and continue to practice how to find the VA and HA. Homework is 5 functions where students will identify the VA, HA, SA, holes in the graph.

Thursday, September 8th - Students will now be reminded how to find x-intercepts, y -intercepts, and begin graphing of the rational functions. Homework is the graphing of 7 functions after finding the VA, HA, SA, x - intercepts, y-intercepts and holes for each function.

Friday, September 9th - Student will continue  graphing rational functions and identitify VA, HA, SA, Domain, Range,  x and y intercepts. Homework will be to complete the worksheet given yesterday on graphing of the rational functions. 8 - 14th problem
