German III,IV Dec. 4- Dec. 11

Students have presented their cooking show/recipes and did a great job.

Students started today on a project that is the final exam, plus they will finish on Final day with a written test.  "How does life change for you when you turn 18 years of age?"  Compare America with Germany.  this is Chapter 5 in our book.

German II Dec.4 - Dec. 11

Students are reviewing information for final exam.  some students still need to make up projects.

We are also watching GA/discovery episodes(educational videos) that teaches students how to interact

with German students

German I Dec. 7- Dec. 11

Students have been practicing for their fashion show tomorrow. They will have the show tomorrow and probably finish on Thursday.  Friday, students need to bring all items for the Gingerbread houses.

Accounting Dec. 7- Dec. 11

Accounting I--   students are working problems in chapter 7, posting to the General Ledger and balancing and Trial Balance.  students are getting information to study for the Final exam before the weekend.

Accounting II --  students are working problems in chapter 6, recording depreciation, recording plant assets and recording selling and exchanging plant assets.  students are getting information to study for the Final exam before the weekend.

Accounting II, Nov. 30- Dec. 4

Accounting II students are working on Chapter 6, Property, Plant and Equipment Assets.  they are working on chapter problems through next week. the chpater test on this chapter will be part of the final exam.

BCS-PAI-5. Students will use Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to determine the value of assets.

h. Calculate depreciation and apply appropriate accounting concepts and techniques for acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of property, plant, and equipment.

i. Reconcile bank statements.

j. Prepare, analyze, and maintain accounting records for short- and long-term assets using spreadsheet and/or accounting software

Thursday:sorry for the delay of Blog information.  I had problems with my typepad account.

Accounting I students are working in chapter 7.  Post General Journal information to the General Ledger accounts.  This will be the last chapter before the final exam.  the Chapter 7 test will be part of the final.

BCS-PAI-4. Students will understand and apply the various steps of the accounting cycle for proprietorships and corporations and explain the purpose of each step.

h. Apply the double-entry system of accounting to record business transactions and prepare a trial balance.

German III, Nov. 30 - Dec. 4

Wednesday:  sorry for not haveing Blogs posted, my typepad account was not working.

students have handed in all their Layered Project.  We are working on recipes.  Everybody is making something at home. they will  bring in the finished products and also have a cooking show in the classroom. We are presenting Friday and Monday.

German II Nov. 30- Dec. 4

Wednesday:  sorry for the delay on my Blog. I had problems with my typepad account.

German II has ben practicing comparisons (example:  fast, faster, the fastest). students had projects to present. We did these projects on the lap tops here in school.  Students had the chance to make up any zeros for grades, I should have all the grades by now entered for that.
