The Home Stretch!

We are in the home stretch to the end of the semester!  While math is a year long course, we still have a midterm to take that is cumulative to this point of the year.  I hope you started to prepare for all of your finals by now, but if you have not, IT'S NOT TOO LATE ...YET!.  Please begin to review old quizzes and tests, homework assingments and for GPS ALG you already have your packet.  Utilize extra help sessions not only for current material, but for review as well.

GPS ALG:  Quiz Thursday, Test Monday December 12th (much closer than you think!)  We then review for 4 days (please note, these are STUDENT DRIVEN - which means YOU come in with questions, we provide answers and methods with very little re-teaching.  These CAN NOT be your only preperation for the mid-term during finals week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Math 2:  Quiz this Friday, next Friday 12-9, Test 12-13.  Three days of review then finals week.  You know what to do!

Math 2 test Thursday!

Here is a great warm-up exercise we did in class yesterday that contains a theorem review for Thursday's test.  Remember, no matter how well you did on the past 2 quizzes, you need to study and prepare for the test as it has a much higher value (45-50%!!!)

GPS ALG I

Yesterday, during our teacher work-day, we mapped out the rest of the semester.  Today we begin work on Function Families:  graphs!  We will work through the 6 parent graphs, moving (transforming) graphs, some vocabulary and a couple of learning tasks.  The Friday before the Thanksgiving break we will hand out a review packet for the mid-term (half way to the final) that will be given the last week of the semester.  Start preparing now!  Go though notes, quizzes, test etc and find out what you know and what you don't - then come in for extra help as needed.  After the break, it's 9 class days, a quiz and a test, followed by review for the mid-term.  Finish strong!

 

Note:  no extra help Thursday or Friday this week and next week extra help ends at 8 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
