Math 2: We had our 1st quiz and we saw some good things as well as some places where we need to improve. As we move into imaginary numbers, please be sure to ask questions on this brand new (but certainly do-able) concept. We'll continue working on the learning task at the beginning of the week.
GPS Algebra I: We've finally started on some new(er) material. You freshman are doing great so far, but please don't be fooled into thinking it will all be easy. Fort the few that I saw that didn't do your homework (you know who you are) get out of that bad habit now! Below are the PowerPoint's we viewed this week.
Welcome Back all! We are off to a great start in Math 2 and Math 2 Support! Everyone seems like they had a restfull summer and are ready to get to work. We've started pretty much where we left off with factoring and graphs, adding some new shortcuts and insight. As usuall if you stay on top of your classwork/homework, daily notes and, most importantly, ask questions, we will have another fantastic year.
For you freshman in Math 1, welcome to LHS! As it is every year, you are even more advanced than last year, but that means we will get to push you and your knowledge even further! I hope you are up to the challenge.
I will once again hold extra help sessions starting around 7:30 am in rm 209 (Coach Gaines' room) and all are welcome. Please note that I will have morning duty some weeks from 8:00-8:15 (it actually starts on Monday) and Coach Gaines may be in there by that point. I'll keep you updated either way, but if you get in early it shouldn't be an issue.
One last thing: if you need to reach me, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and below are links to my co-teachers blogs.
