Monday, February 28th - COLLEGE PREP

I was so proud of your God and Goddess projects!

We read "Theseus and the Minotaur."  If you were absent, you can take your book home to read this story.

We completed Vocabulary Packet #10 in class.  If you were absent, see me for a copy.  Packets are due at the beginning of the period tomorrow.

Monday, February 28th - HONORS

We discussed and reviewed what happened in Chapter 11.  Together, we read and discussed Chapter 12.  Students are to read Chapter 13 for tomorrow.

Friday, February 18th - HONORS

We took the Vocabulary #10 Vocabulary Quiz.  If you were absent, you will need to make up the quiz on the Monday or Tuesday after the break.  Come in at 8:00 one of those mornings; it only takes 10-15 minutes.

See me to tell me which English class you want to take next year; I have to register you.

We watched the first half of a documentary about the Scottsboro Boys.  There will be questions about them on future assignments, quizzes, and on the test.  You may need to do a little research and read about their story.  You may use the computer in my room to "google" the story if you need to.

Friday, February 18th - COLLEGE PREP

We watched the first part of the movie Clash of the Titans.  If you were absent, there is no make-up work.  Enjoy your first, and sadly - last, February Break!

Thursday, February 17th - HONORS

We did a group project today.  If you were absent, you have a SCALED DOWN version you must do for make-up work.  This is for a grade.  It is located in the list to the left and is called TKM Group Make-Up.  You can see me if you need a copy.

The Vocabulary Unit #10 quiz is tomorrow.

Thursday, February 17th - COLLEGE PREP

Greek Gods and Goddesses Projects were due today.  We did an in-class notes activity with the posters.  If you were absent, make sure your project is turned in when you return.

Wednesday, February 16th - HONORS

I used a class set of handouts about Being a Lady and Rabies as a starter for today.  Both topics are relevant in upcoming chapters.

We finished from where we left off in Chapter 9, read and discussed all of Chapter 10, and read the first part of Chapter 11.  You are to finish reading Chapter 11 for homework.

The Vocabulary Quiz has been moved to Friday, February 18th.

Wednesday, February 16th - College Prep

We read the stories "Echo and Narcissus" and "Perseus."  Students then had time to work with their partners to complete the Greek Gods and Goddesses project.

These are due tomorrow!  Meet in the Lassiter Room in the Media Center tomorrow.

Tuesday, February 15th - HONORS

If you were absent, we took a Pop Quiz over Chapters 6, 7, and 8.  See me for the make-up assignment for this grade.

We discussed Chapter 8.  We read and discussed almost all of Chapter 9.  If you were absent, read chapter 9.

Vocabulary Unit #10 quiz is Thursday, 2/17.

Tuesday, February 15th - COLLEGE PREP

Students had a work day to complete their Gods and Goddesses Project.  If you were absent, please check in with your partner.  Projects are due this Thursday 2/17 for a major grade.  You will have approximately 15 minutes of work time tomorrow.
