This Week: Now that Invisible Man has been reborn into a "fallen" world, we must decipher his latest exploits in chapters 12-15. 

Monday, September 26th:

• SAT vocabulary--30 card check
• AP multiple choice pratice #2: "Old" Poetry: Whole class close reading; discuss responses with a partner; grade, score, and reflect.

Tuesday, September 27th:

• Invisible Man: Chapters 11-15 reading day (due to testing schedule)

Wednesday, September 28th:

• Invisible Man: Chapters 11-15--Writing prompts

Thursday, September 29th:

• Invisible Man: Chapters 11-15--Seminar Discussion
• Read chapters 16-19

This Week: Looking forward to another great week of discussing and analyzing Invisible Man. After last week you should have a deeper understanding of and appreciation for Ellison's novel. Be sure you stay up with the reading. Finish reading and annotationg chapters 7-10 for Tuesday.

This Week: We begin our in-depth study of Ellison's Invisible Man. We'll begin on Wednesday with my "dramatic" reading of The Prologue. The remainder of the week is devoted to a short but worthwhile research project and presentation on the cultural, historical, and political contexts of the novel.
