2012 Shell Oil Company Technical Scholarship

Shell Oil Company sponsors up to 20 one-year awards of $2,500 for graduating high school seniors enrolling in engineering and geosciences at universities identified by Shell.  This scholarship focuses on developing talent in the engineering and geoscience fields.  Applications are available in the School Counseling Office and are due February 28, 2012.

Kids Who Care Awards

Five students will receive a $1,100 scholarship - based on the difference they made in the community.  Sponsored by the Junior League of Atlanta and 11 Alive Television, log onto http://www.11alive.com/life/community/story/aspx?storyid=29076 for more information and an application.  Applications are due February 15, 2012.

Cushing Summer Sessions

Cushing Summer Session offers programs for rising 9th through 12th graders in College Prep, Critical Skills and English as a Second Language as well as programs in Visual and Performing Arts, Enrichment and Athletics.  Check out the programs at www.cushing.org/summer.

 

Alice Dodd Memorial Scholarship - Community Service

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a senior who has an outstanding record of community service in pursuing higher education.  The first place scholarship award is $1,200.  Applications are available in the School Counseling Office and are due by January 31, 2012.

Bobby Dodd Memorial Scholarship - Community Service for a Physically Challenged Student

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a physically challenged senior who has an outstanding record of community service in pursuing higher education.  The first place scholarship award is for $1,200. Applications are available in the School Counseling Office and are due by January 31, 2012.

Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund

Janice Scott was one of 125 individuals who perished in the Pentagon when terrorists crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the building of the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.  In memory of Mrs. Scott, a $2,500 scholarship is offered to seniors.  Applications are available in the School Counseling Office and are due by March 31, 2012.
