Gates Millennium Scholars Program
The Gates Millennium Scholars Program provides outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American and Hispanic American students an opportunity to complete an undergraduate degree. To be considered students must: be a citizen or permanent resident, have at least a 3.3 unweighted GPA, have demonstrated leadership and meet Federal Pell Grant eligibility. Check with the School Counseling Office for an application to submit by January 10, 2012.
Robertson Scholars Program
The Robertson Scholars Program at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill award eighteen full scholarships at Duke and eighteen full scholarships at UNC based on an outstanding academic record, character and demonstrated leadership. Georgia Apply to College Month - Fee Waiver
Georgia Perimeter College (GPC) and Gainesville State College are celebrating Georgia Apply to College Month by waiving the $20 - $25 application fee for applications completed online at www.gacollege411.org starting Tuesday, November 1st through Monday, November 7th, 2011.

Cooperative education could be a key factor in choosing a college. The School Counseling Office has the 2011-2012 Resource Guide - The Best of Co-Op: A Guide to Leading Colleges and Employers in the Career Center. A $6,000 merit scholarship is available.
Summer Program at Vanderbilt University - PAVE
Juniors in the top of the class are offered the opportunity to explore a major and career in engineering, the sciences, other technology based areas and the humanities at Vanderbilt this summer. To be nominated for the program, juniors should see their school counselor.
