Si Se Puede! Youth Leadership Conference
Students for Latina/o Empowerment, a student advocacy organization at the University of Georgia invite students to apply and participate in the annual Si Se Puede! Youth Leadership Conference on March 26th. Applications are available via e-mail at sle.youth.conference@gmail.com and are due March 11th.
Scholarships
Cobb School Counselor - Service Scholarship
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Cobb County senior who has served as a peer helper, peer tutor, peer mediator or some type of service work. Seniors must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applications are available in the School Counseling Office and must be postmarked by April 12th.
Cobb School Counselor - Son/Daughter Scholarship
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to the son or daughter of a Cobb County counselor who is a member of the Cobb School Counselor Association. Seniors must complete an essay and an application. Applications are available in the School counseling Office and must be postmarked by April 12th.
Marietta Kiwanis Club Scholarships
The Marietta Kiwanis Club offers a variety of scholarships for students. The deadline for scholarships is March 30th. Log onto www.mariettakiwanis.org and click on the scholarship link.
Summer Programs
CEISMC at Georgia Tech
CEISMC Programs offer a variety of courses at Georgia Tech this summer. High school students can register for: Chemistry of Biofuels, Career Discovery in Architecture, the Mystery of Lake Clara-Meer, i-Phone Camp - App Game Design for High School, Wall Street on Peachtree Street, and many more. Cobb Youth Leadership
The Cobb Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Cobb Youth Leadership program. The program focuses on developing leadership skills through interactive participation. Students meet with local, state and national leaders helping to frame their leadership style.
