January 23rd – January 27th:
This week all students presented their work from last week to the class and students took notes in English while listening. We reviewed the present perfect tense and did some individual and group practice using this. We also continued watching our telenovela.
Classwork:
Monday: Students had some errors from their written work from last week to translate into Spanish. We went through these together and students then had time to start their individual corrections. We then noted down our ‘errores imperdonables’ for the week, our expression and our saying of the week. We will do these every Monday. We began our presentations and students took notes in English.
Homework – Corrections must be handed in on Wednesday to earn full credit for written work.
Tuesday: We reviewed the present perfect tense from Spanish III (if we learned it last year) and completed the first 3 pages of our packet. We then continued with our presentations and note taking.
Wednesday: We did some worksheet practice with the present perfect and worked on repeating and memorizing the irregular infinitives and what they changed to. We then continued our presentations and note taking.
Thursday: Students had an expression on the board and had to figure out what it meant in the perfect tense. We finished our present perfect worksheet and reviewed irregular verbs before continuing our presentations.
Friday: We watched the telenovela. Students answered questions in English while we watched.
Homework:
See above.
If possible, please bring in some colored paper for the class!
Assessments:
Class participation grades shall be earned each week. Students will NOT have a chance to make these up. If a student is off task (sleeping, texting, doing homework etc.) they will earn a maximum grade of 60% for that week.
Announcements:
