Test Friday will cover biochemistry from first two weeks, plasma membrane and cell transport.  Text references are Ch 6.2-4 and Ch 7.2 & 4.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

Download Agenda Spring 2012 Environmental Science

We are in the Land Use Unit now.  This covers a broad range of topics, including the distribution of land uses, environmental advantages and disadvantages of certain choices, and agricultural practices, as well as feeding the our rapidly growing human population.

Text references are Ch 14 and 15.

So far, students took notes from the powerpoint: Download Land UseA and we had a guest speaker from Ethical Choices talking to students about factory farms and other agricultural practices.

Wednesday: complete notes and start Land Use Plan activity.

Thursday and Friday: Land Use Plan activity

Also due Friday: Current event having to do with land use or agricultural practices, or feeding the world.
