This week so far, students have taken notes on photosynthesis, Download How energy from the sun gives you energy and completed the vocab #1-12 in stations, Download Plant Vocabulary Gallery Walk, in preparation for a quiz Monday.

In the middle of all this, the live protists arrived, and demanded to be seen!  So this protist lab was also completed and turned in today.

Last Friday and Monday, students watched (The End of the Line and took video notes Download The End of the Line movie notes, as well as writing a reflection after watching. 

Tuesday,we reviewed textbook work and completed a concept review sheet.  Yesterday, students read an article on Biodiversity in Aquatic Systems and answered questions Download WHY IS BIODIVERSITY DECLINING.

After the warm-up, students worked the entire period on their protist cards Download Protist Study Assignment 2011

I changed the due date on these to tomorrow so that students can spend their biology time Thursday night studying for the assessment Friday.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

I handed out the rubric for the biome project today. Download Biome rubric Tomorrow will be the last day to work on the project in class.
