Monday - Choose vocabulary words for the exam.  (You can find the words on a link to a page on the left side of the blog.)  Finish watching Romeo and Juliet.

Tuesday - Review for the exam.

Wednesday to Friday - Take exams.

Dec. 7-11, 2009

Monday - Finish reading "The Legend of King Arthur".  Write a summary in the Reading Journal.

Tuesday - Read and take notes on "Morte d' Arthur".  Review vocab.

Wednesday - Take vocab. quiz.  Do pages 201 and 209 in the lit workbook.

Thursday - Read "The Code of Chivalry".  Write own "Code of Behavior".  Watch "Sword in the Stone".

Friday - Watch Merlin.  Choose vocab. for exam.

Dec. 7-11, 2009

Monday - Go over the vocab. definitions.  Read chapters 6 and 7 in The Outsiders.

Homework - Finish reading chapter 7, if not completed in class.

Tuesday - Take the Economics EOCT.

Wednesday - Take the vocab. quiz.  Read chapter 8.  The novel test will be on Monday.

Thursday - Write a descriptive poem of a character from the novel.  Choose vocabulary for the exam.  Read chapters 9-10.

Friday - Finish the novel.

Homework - Bring the poem on Monday.  Study for the novel test.

Dec. 7-11, 2009

Monday - Take the Romeo and Juliet  Vocabulary Quiz.  Read the play in the text.  Go over the "Mask" project.

Tuesday - Read "Romeo and Juliet".

Wednesday - Read the play. Write a summary in the Reading Journal. 

Thursday - Finish the play.  Choose vocabulary for the exam.  Present "Mask" projects.

Friday - Watch and discuss the DVD of Romeo and Juliet.

Nov. 30 - Dec. 4, 2009

Monday - Finish typing the original short story. 

Tuesday - Practice spelling rules, using the white board.  Take notes about and discuss the Middle Ages.

Wednesday - Get vocabulary definitions for the Middle Ages unit.  Read "The Glorious Age of Chivalry" and do the worksheet.

Thursday - Read the "Code of Chivalry" and make your own code of how a gentleman or lady should behave.

Friday - Begin reading "King Arthur".  Review vocabulary.

Homework - Vocabulary quiz will be on Monday.

Nov. 30 - Dec. 4, 2009

Monday - Write a comparison and contrast essay about Cry Freedom and Things Fall Apart.  Work on a spelling exercise using the white board.

Tuesday - Read chapter 1 of The Outsiders.  Discuss the characters and the point of view.

Homework - Finish chapter 1.  Look up the definitions of the vocabulary by Thursday.

Wednesday - Read chapter 2 of The Outsiders.  Fill in the Character Trait chart. 

Thursday - Read chapter 3 and write about the novel in the Reading Journal.

Friday - Go over the vocabulary definitions.  Review.  Read chapter 4 of the novel.

Homework - The vocab. quiz will be on Monday. Read chapter 5 of the novel.

Nov. 30 - Dec. 4, 2009

Monday - Get vocabulary and definitions from "Romeo and Juliet". (The quiz will be on Friday.) Look up definitions of a list of words and analyze the connotations.

Tuesday - Look up literary terms and analyze examples. Use white boards to do a spelling exercise.

Wednesday - Discuss Shakespeare background information. Begin reading "Romeo and Juliet". Find similes, metaphors, personification, and puns.

Thursday - Continue to read the play. Play a vocabulary review game.

Homework - Study for the vocab. quiz.

Friday - Take the vocabulary quiz. Write in the Reading Journal about the play.
Discuss the mask project for the play and begin to work on it.
