last week before break (SLIGHT CHANGE...READ)

film - finish stick it to the man; papers due Friday, films Monday after break.  Papers can be no more than one typed page.  Single spacing not allowed.

9th - aynrand.org for essay questions; papers due Monday if you want the shot at extra credit.  We will do some vocab (4,5,6) and test on Thursday.  Remember the cumulative test.  Read Romeo and Juliet over break.  It is in your textbook.  Don't worry if it is a bit confusing.  You'll get it.  Revisions due Friday.

10th - Revisions due Thursday.  We will do some stories out of the book, which I will provide.  One will be Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis."  We'll see about a test on Friday.

 

3/14-3/18

film - science fiction continues

9th - 10/11 for T, 12/13 for W, 14/15 for TH, 16/17 for F, 18/19/20/2122 for M, 23/24 for T, 25/26/27 for W, 28-31 for TH.  TEST ON FRIDAY, March 25.  Probably essay, possibly 10/5/1.

10th - grade voca test and start Khartoum on Tuesday.  Watch Khartoum.  Test on Friday: God, gold, and glory.  ESSAY, of course.  Notes allowed.  REad All Quiet.

3/8-3/11

9th Chapters 1 and 2 for Wednesday; take notes.  Chapters 3 and 4 for Thursday; take notes.  Chapters 5 and 6 for Friday; take notes; Chapters 7, 8, and 9 for Monday; take notes.

world lit - vocab week (13-15).  Charades on Thursday, test on Friday.  Procure your book -- either Susan Kay's Legacy or All Quiet on the Western Front or even Fall of Giants (only with your parents' permission and understanding that there are adult situations in the book).  Yes, extra credit for Fall of Giants.

9th - no test on monday; we'll do it tuesday; then we start on to kill a mockingbird...about 25 pages a night
