The LNN crew produced a very moving and factual segment pertaining to the earthquake/tsunami catastrophe in Japan. They are also working on a spring sports segment and girls gymnastics segment to air very soon.
The Bees Knees is in the final editing stage for the current show. Their show should be complete and ready for viewing by Monday. The Show Fo Sho is shooting their OCHs today. They will utilize the studio and control room while incorporating the chroma key effect. The Producers should have the show "in the can" by Tuesday.
These students have exactly one week to finish shooting and editing their music videos. They must be finished before spring break. After spring break they will start the unit on the TV studio and Control Room identification and operation.
LNN had a very good show today. They produced and aired a commercial about prom. They produced and aired a great segment called "Teachers are people too". And they produced a very good segment about Lassiter's Career Tech dept. We actually had the good problem of not having enough time to air all the news/announcemnets and video.
The Bees Knees and The Show Fo Show are currently working on their assigned segments. Producers need to speak with the OCH's and get the script ready for the teleprompter. We'll shoot the intros next week using the chroma-key and control room.
The unit on study and field lighting is complete. A multiple choice test was taken with primarily very good grades. The students have been permitted to produce a music video with lyrics approved by me. They will also incorporate a professional document that is a Video Treatment Plan.
LNN rolls on. They have produced 2 entertaining commercials about the upcoming prom and the free tutoring service that Lassiter students offer to other students. We also have an upcoming segment titled "Teachers are People too". It shoukld be entertaing to the students to see teachers talking about where they went to college and that teachers don't live at Lassiter 24/7. They are also completing a video segment on Lassiter's Career Tech. department.
The Bees Knees and The Show Fo Show have completed their latest editions. The Producers have approved their next segments and they started to work on them. And they are being reminded not to put off starting their Video Autobiographies because that is 30% of their final grade.
We are covering the unit on field and studio lighting. Each group will present their power point material concerning lighting and also have visual examples of various types of lighting and show a video that explaines the lighting triangle. After they have presented their material, they will be given a very detailed study guide and then take a multiple choice test.
