BVP IA Update

Chicken soup anyone?  This class has a major/final project that MUST be completed by the end of the period of their final exam day.  They are to choose a story from any of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.  The story must be approved by me (meaning NO references to drugs, alcohol, sex or killing).  They will incorporate all the standards that they learned this semester in this video.  They will storyboard a minimum of 20 shots, shoot and edit so their final product matches the plot of their Chicken Soup story.

BVP IIA Update

LTV and The Cat's Pajamas are hard at work completing their final segments for the holiday edition of their shows.

BVP IIIA & IVA Update

Level IIIA's final project for the semester is an advanced research project.  They are to research 3 jobs in film and television.  For example: Director, Producer and Editor.  They will then produce/edit a 3:00-5:00 minute video that gives detailed, specific information about each position that they rearched.  Level IVA is to hand me, the potential television network employer, a resume with all their LNN/Jumbotron production experience by the end of the semester.

BVP IIIA & IVA Update

These student have competed in the Cobb County Short Movie Extravaganza competition.  Tonight is the awards night at Kell High School.  I encourage family and friends to attend.  They'll have a red carpet to walk down and they'll be interviewed by student reporters.  Lassiter has 4 entries and we're very excited to see how our entries scored.  Over the past 3 years we have taken 3rd place and won the Best Actress award 2 years in a row.  I'm very excited and hopeful for the Lasster entries.

BVP IIA Update

LTV and The Cat's Pajamas are working on their last show for the semester.  Most segments have a holiday theme to them.  As part of their final show, we will be doing a thorough review and testing of their knowledge of the TV studio and Control Room operation.

BVP IA Update

These students have just finished a unit on audio and microphones.  They now understand that audio IS as important as video.  They have been given a thourough study guide and are taking the audio/microphone test today.  To better appreciate audio, they are producing a 30 second radio commercial.  They are thinking with their ears.
