Thank you for a fantastic Symphonic Band Camp. All the students who made the adjustments to their schedules made this camp successful. You made such progress and both clinicians were complimentary of your playing and your intent to get better.

Sym II 

Monday's after school practice with full band is cancelled. You put in many great hours of work on Friday. Full Band will rehearse Thursday after school from 3:45-5:45 as listed on your schedule. We now begin the process of putting the final details into the three pieces for festival. Plan on doing a tape for a grade this weekend of certain sections in your music- it will be the parts of the music that are still weak so begin your practice now.

Concert II

It seems like everyone had a fantastic time at camp. We will continue to work out the weaker sections of the three pieces and work on sightreading as well to prepare for LGPE. Only two and half weeks left until our performance. Be prepared for individual spot checks this week during class.

Standards Utilized:

PS2: Understand the system, vocabulary, theory, and the conventions necessary to read and notate music in grade III/VI literature.

PS4: Analyze and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of performances by applying the specific criteria appropriate to level III/VI literature.
