Both Sym II and Concert II will begin working on Mable House Concert music. Some review of fundamentals will also take place.

Congratulations on Large Group Performance Evaluation this past weekend. We are so proud of your performances and your decorum while listening to the other bands. Congratulations on a great music-making process and performance!

This week we will collect music, listen to tapes from the evaluators, and then begin music for Mable House.

Congratulations on a great Pre-Festival Concert! Last week to prepare for LGPE and

Sam Hazo will be on campus Tuesday, March 16th to work with Sym II.

Concert II and Sym II 

Last chance to make sure you have every note and every last bit of technique learned. We will make the most of this week's rehearsals before the performances on Friday and Saturday.

Sym II 

I am looking forward to listening to all of your tapes and hearing the progress you have made on your parts. I will get grades and comments back to you as soon as possible. Rehearsal tonight and tomorrow from 6-8.

Concert II

Tuesday and Wednesday we will test spots in the music for a Playing Test Grade.

Thank you for a fantastic Symphonic Band Camp. All the students who made the adjustments to their schedules made this camp successful. You made such progress and both clinicians were complimentary of your playing and your intent to get better.

Sym II 

Monday's after school practice with full band is cancelled. You put in many great hours of work on Friday. Full Band will rehearse Thursday after school from 3:45-5:45 as listed on your schedule. We now begin the process of putting the final details into the three pieces for festival. Plan on doing a tape for a grade this weekend of certain sections in your music- it will be the parts of the music that are still weak so begin your practice now.

Concert II

It seems like everyone had a fantastic time at camp. We will continue to work out the weaker sections of the three pieces and work on sightreading as well to prepare for LGPE. Only two and half weeks left until our performance. Be prepared for individual spot checks this week during class.
