Symphonic Band Camp has been scheduled for Friday and Saturday, February 12th and 13th. (Concert II only needs to attend on Saturday afternoon.)

Sign ups for auditions are posted!

Sym II Chair Placement Test- Tuesday and Wednesday, January 26^th  and 27^th.

Sign up during lunch or seventh period if you have early release.

The audition will consist of:

Part 2, No 2 

minimum tempo is eighth note=96

Letter F to H in October.

A sightreading exercise.

Concert II

Your written rhythm test will be Tuesday, Jan 26th.

Prepare for your rhythmic playing test that we will start on Wednesday, Jan 27th.

Standards Utilized:

PS2: Understand the system, vocabulary, theory, and the conventions necessary to read and notate music in grade III/VI literature.

PS4: Analyze and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of performances by applying the specific criteria appropriate to level III/VI literature.

Sym II and Concert II

Great start to the semester! We will do our first round of intonation sheets this week. Schedules for the semester are available in the band room.

Happy New Year!

Congratulations to the students who made District Honor Band and the second round All State Auditions! We would love to hear you play your audition material before your audition this Saturday. Just sign up for a time in the band room and we will give you some extra help with your final preparations. Good Luck on Saturday! 

Sym II and Concert II

I am looking forward to another great semester. We will begin playing on Tuesday so make sure you have your instrument. We will also pass out folders, method books, etc. The rehearsals this week will focus on putting tone qualities back in place and building our ensemble sounds.
