Interesting week! At the end of the day on Friday, we will have worked for half of the semester, meaning half of our time to recover credit has passed. Students should be 50% of the way through both courses (or one course if only enrolled to recover credit for one) to be considered on track to finish coursework on time. Ninth, tenth, and some eleventh graders are taking the PSAT on Wednesday, so the school day will be irregular, and the lab will not be available until afternoon classes due to the PSAT administration in rm. 414. Seniors and Juniors not taking the PSAT will have a silent study hall in the cafeteria.
A couple of reminders:
- Pinnacle and NovaNET do not communicate, as indicated on the syllabus acknowledgement signed at the start of the semester.
- Progress reports will either be available in hard copy on Friday, or Module averages and completion averages will be posted manually on Pinnacle for parental and student viewing.
- The lab opens daily at 7:45 a.m. for thirty extra minutes of time daily.
This week I have meetings on Tuesday and Friday morning; no extra time will be available on those mornings due to called meetings. I'll open the lab ASAP, probably around 8:00.
Offline English Assignments must be completed for credit recovery, as indicated on the syllabus, weekly blogs, notices on board in room. Textbooks must be checked out to complete these assignments at home. When a student is finished with all online work, a book is available in class for the student to use during the class period for these assignments, but the books may not be checked out overnight due to need for availablility to all students in all classes.
Parents may email Mrs. Armistead for a grade update at any time.
