All 9th, 10th, (and 11th graders who have paid to take the PSAT) will do so on Wednesday, Oct. 12 of next week. Strategies for taking the test will be available in ASE sections, and students who wish to have further enrichment may ask Mrs. Armistead to load the NovaNET SAT Prep sections to their work screens. Credit for using these lessons will be added to the Notes average at the end of the semester, and credit will also accrue as the PSAT and SAT scores will improve upon using these resources.
All English classes have offline modules to be completed in addition to the work listed on their NovaNET screens, as stated on the syllabus, blog and grade sheets in folders. Assignments are posted on the Blackboard blog under the NovaNET Credit Recovery Student section, and I will begin posting them to this blog as well. Naturally the assignments are different for the A and B sections of the course, so the student needs to pay special attention to completing the correct assignments for the course for which credit recovery is sought. Hard copies of these assignments are also being given to the students as they are available, and students are signing that they have received the assignments and whether or not they have secured the appropriate textbook for completing the assignments.
Students are encouraged to keep the textbook at home to be available to work on outside of class, as the online modules are not available from home.
