Please be aware that the grade cut-off for 6 weeks grades is next Thursday, Sept. 22. Grades are due to the system by noon on Friday, Sept. 23, and the progress reports will actually be handed out the following week.
NovaNET grades will be pass/fail based on whether or not the student is on-track to recover credit. At the 6 week point, students should be 33% of the way through each of their courses.
If a student is only taking one course, he/she should be one third of the way through. For example, if a student is taking a course with 6 modules, to be considered on track to recover credit, he/she would have to have completed 2 of the 6 modules.
If a student is taking two courses, he/she should be either 33% of the way through each course or 66% of the way through one course to be considered on track to recover credit.
In addition to the pass/fail designation for NovaNET courses recorded on the Pinnacle Progress report, a report of test scores will be printed to be attached to the student progress report for more information. Feel free to call the teacher at any time for more information. Students have been asked to keep up with their own grades in the NovaNET folders provided for their work in the room; he/she should be able to give you an update at any time.
Please remember the lab is opened daily at 7:45 a.m. and students who are diligent about extra time can get an extra 2 1/2 hours a week by attending the morning lab session. Credit recovery is greatly enhanced by the addition of this extra time.
