Progress reports went out today. Students have gradesheets in their folders; they received printouts of pre- and posttest scores; they were instructed how to record their grades so they can track their own progress. I asked that students take the progress reports home to share with parents.
Extra help is available in Math and Science courses, and flyers listing the teachers and times that help is offered are on the bulletin board in the NovaNET lab. Students are encouraged to take challenging concepts to these help sessions before or after school to make them more effective learners in their online NovaNET programs.
The NovaNET Lab continues to open daily at 7:45 a.m. and students are welcome to come in to get 30 minutes of time online each day.
ASE started last week, and it's full. There is a waiting list for students, and if you would like to be added to this list, please see Mrs. Armistead. Math and Science students were encouraged on the syllabus and verbally in class to seek an ASE for the course they were taking in NovaNET so they would have a subject area teacher of whom to ask questions.
