Grade cut-off for this six week progress report is this Friday. Because of the snow days, we really need more time in NovaNET to successfully complete modules for credit recovery. I've asked Mrs. Morse if we can use printed reports for this six weeks rather than the Pinnacle reporting system to accommodate more time for mods.
So: I will print grade reports next Thursday to make completion grade and module average grades available to students as up-to-date as possible.
Students should have grade printouts for where they stand as of today in their possession, and grade report sheets stapled in the classroom notes folder so students can keep track of their own progress. Get in the habit of recording each mod completed so your grade sheet is up to date.
Offline English assignments have been handed out. Students are to meet the first deadline for Theme work for Multicultural Literature of Feb. 28. Second deadline will be March 30. Final deadline for Theme work will be April 30. If students adhere to these deadlines, they will stay on track and be finished with offline work in time to concentrate on final exams, projects, EOCTs, etc.
Make sure if you have an English class that you have a copy of the book you need to complete the work. Check it out with Mrs. Kreis in rm. 711 during 6th or 7th period. If she's not there, she can usually be located in PPO. She's very helpful and friendly; often she will send the book you need to you. Keep the book and the hard copy of the assignments at home. If you're sick, bored, or grounded, you'll have what you need to use your time wisely.
I continue to open the lab at 7:45 a.m. daily. Rare exceptions for meetings exclude this morning time, but students are always welcome to stop by during their lunch. If a seat is available, you're welcome to work!
